But uh its also been 2 weeks and there’s holidays. I can see another store revamp on the horizon too since the Enforcer cosmetics have recolored upper and lower bodies in the schema now. If they factually do nothing with all that great artwork yeah I’d be mad. But I’m not disappointed in the current offerings one bit. I have 8 scum looks I’m undecided on, vs me just using the deluxe upper body and vox can on cop on every loadout…
It’s weird that Fatshark releases two new classses but only one set of DLC cosmetics for each. Instead of juicing the release and offering as much stuff as possible for sale, they let the hype train die and rotate through nothing while the 4 original classes keep doing their thing. Coupled with nothing in the Commissary, there just isn’t much for the new releases, which feels like fundamentally bad business. Coupled with not being able to use any of the existing class stuff even where potentially appropriate, there’s not much these additional classes are doing to drive further spending aside from their initial DLC purchase.
I’m not sure if the outsourced Chinese art studio is unable to deliver for some reason, if FS is just bad at understanding their market or is running some sort of market test, if there’s some sort of contract limitation, or some combination of these things (or something else entirely), but it’s difficult to understand. It’s not like there’s a lack of concepts for these classes, literally anything from the Necromunda games works for Hive Scum, while there’s an array of different Arbites models and art representations within the vast officialdom of the 40k IP, on top of nearly 50 years of Judge Dredd artwork to draw inspiration from.
