Yes but doing that through Auric rewards makes everyone miserable. You’ll have people in no way good enough for Auric trying to force their way in to be carried so they can bypass the awful crafting system as much as possible. Neither they nor the people picking them up off the floor every 3 seconds will have a good time of it.
Infinitely better solution:
Heresy, Damnation, and Auric all have completely the same plasteel rewards, which is ~double what Damnation currently gives (or at least ~50% more). Malice and below rewards are lower than heresy-Damnation but not by a horrible margin that makes them feel like a waste of time for those that play them.
Bam everyone is happy rather than made miserable and everyone plays on the difficulty they enjoy rather than the one they feel compelled to for grinding.

Easily enough locked by gear requirements.
And sane people will just kick them or the people themself realize this isn’t fun to be dead half the game.

It never really did though lol. Heck even the past Tide game did basically what I’m talking about. Cata and Legend had the same rewards, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better quick play experience than that.
What possible advantage does your suggestion have over mine? I can’t think of a single one.
It’s simple standard Damnation/ heresy with no modifiers is no special thing.
Monstro would be beneficial to everyone and especially on lower difficulties where you could potentially farm daemonhosts way easier than on auric.
I was asking what advantages giving the extra plasteel to specifically Auric would have over my suggestion, not the monster drops suggestion.
But since you brought that up demonhosts are very clearly designed to something you’re encouraged to avoid. Making a system where you’re encouraged to “farm” them not only goes against their design intent it would also lead to a LOT of frustrating wipes where mid competence teams have someone recklessly greed, pulling a demonhost for plasteel and causing a cascade effect ending the run. It’s worth remembering this game doesn’t only exist for the highest skill level. Plenty of people out there that can clear Damnation fine but are gonna struggle when randos are encouraged to aggro the enemy specifically designed to be avoided.
Um…do you only play in 3-4 player pre-mades?
Not only do these dead-weight people not remove themselves from the game, others don’t kick them 90% of the time.
To add insult to injury, there are quite a few deluded chumps (here included) that ENCOURAGE them to stick around thus breeding entire generations of racoons who can’t fend for themselves.
IDK what magical region you play in, but I want in.
Often enoguh when I play solo i ping use voice imgame and it works.
Obviously you have your fair share of deadweight but you just move without them at least 1 player will be good in your team and do the same thing as you.
I litterally had a mission doing true public 3 people rage quited in 2min of the beginning people filled the places and we worked together well and they did their job
I can happily post the scoreboard as a referance I also have it fully recorded
But realistically bad people ragequit in seconds. Also you can just use voice and tell them go play heresy you ordo docket coin collector and go on with live.
Or just play not alone at least with 1 partner and you don’t have to worry at all…
I play with at least 1 other 90% of the time to not have to worry…too much.
Problem is, when you get a good 3rd person and don’t want to leave THEM as they misguidedly want to repeatedly help the dead weight, which sadly never pays off for them.
Like tonight, ran into the same good player 4x in a row and she made the mistake of going back to help the double-dipping med stimm wasting xboxer through many unnecessarily brain-dead bad situations the xboxer put themselves in.
Now I’m not one to reward bad behavior but I will help always people without sacrificing the run, and I did want to help our recurring 3rd player so I did. By the 4th stupid incident I would have made less of an effort to help the dead-weight xboxer if they refused to make even a perfunctory effort.
But the trash almost never takes itself out, and the toxic trash almost never get votekicked out sadly.
Like the assail-only psyker last night who was too dumb to notice he was always in a spot where poxes dropped on him, and neither he nor the greenbeard next to him noticed the pinged poxes on them and ate 2x of them. Psyker blew his top blaming ME for it and mouthed off incessantly in type and voice. Votekick didn’t go through, ironically the greenbeard voted no.
At least 8/10 times dead-weight stays and toxic player don’t get votekicked, really it’s more like 9/10 over a couple of thousand hours.
P.S. More irony, I’ve had 2 carried awful players trying to votekick at the end of maps, voting me out because I was begging them so stop running off brainlessly to die right near the end, after we kept chain reviving them and untying them over and over (this happened at least 3x). Vote didn’t go through because I wasn’t solo but still hilarious.
I always go back to save a teammate unless they tell me not to. And if they saved my ass a couple of times I’ll go back anyway.
And if I’m not happy about what they do, I can just return to the lobby whenever I want. And sometimes I do. Leaving the game is not always rage-quitting.
If every mission took 35 minutes, in a game where you cannot take a break, then I’d probably get 2 hours play time a week.
I mean, everyone’s life is different, but there are very few times in my life where I can guarantee nothing will happen for the next 35 minutes. Doorbell. Children. Phone. Oven beeper.
If I’ve got to plan a session so that my other half can cover all that, then I basically would get 2 hours a week.
If they had bothered to introduce bots to cover you for a while (and L4D2 did YEARS ago) then I’d forgive longer levels. Oh, and also ramped up that reward.
PS _ That’s not me having a go at you. Everyone is entitled to their preference. I’m just saying the game wouldn’t work for me at that length of time.
I mean just don’t give bad toxic people get ammo medic and leave them be.
I mean I played a lot of league of legends and most people are brain rotten they die in 1 vs1 but their logical conclusion is it’s your fault.
Just let people be like that and play on dont rev or rescue them cause who cares? If your duoq you can literally just finish the mission as 2 and they can watch.
Then otherwise if public ruins your games so often with trash play just play premade groups via discord if your in discord hardly anyone is as toxic. (Considering console players are just a special kind anyway in terms of communication and flaming)
But safest bet is duoq you can trash talk them laugh at them while you pick them up it’s all possible as long your not alone you can never be booted.
