when will season 5 be released? does anyone know?
i could be wrong but i think Chaos wastes gets way higher playcount, so im guessing they will focus on that, maybe they even dropped weaves entirely

But it could be anything. Maybe it is Weaves Season 5, maybe it is Weave skins, maybe it is CW boons, maybe it is new maps or maybe it is just Lohner selling secret paintings of Victor and Kruber (but mainly Victor) in his shop in addition to the new Pumpkin Figures collection.
The wording does imply no major new additions like maps or enemies, so probably something based on existing systems.

When they mistakenly put 2 weave skins in the emporium last week, Aqshy said on the steam forum that something will be announced within 2 weeks. I have no idea what, but at minimum I expect weave skins in other modes.
Fatshark has a twitch stream scheduled for Friday. Maybe we might hear some news then.

Q: Will there be a Season 5 for Weaves?
A: Right now we have no plans to close down Season 4 or freeze the leaderboard.
We still have no answer IF there will be a S5 nor WHEN there will be a S5.
S1 ran for 163 days.
S2 ran for 152 days.
S3 ran for 168 days.
S4 runs for 412+ days now, with no end in sight.
It’s very disappointing to get zero feedback why no new Season starts.
By now we should be in Season 6 if we go with new Career releases.
S4 has already received 3 new Careers plus the Forgotten Relics weapons.
With each new DLC release, the S4 rewards will be devalued.
I know that years ago it was said to split new Seasons from new Content releases to avoid having to rush things. But at that time people thought, that of course it was new Content which will take more time to develop, not the Seasons.
And now we don’t even know IF Seasons are getting reworked atm or what it is that hinders new Seasons. I myself finished Season 4 in Feb 2021 and have been waiting for Season 5 ever since.

From a dev post today on steam about weave weapon illusions:
We have other plans for these weapon illusions and how we’d make them available to you. In the past, we’ve mentioned our desire to redo some game modes so Vermintide II is the game you want it to be and we know it can be. We can’t go into what these plans are at this point in time as they are just that—plans. When the time is right, we’ll further communicate our intentions for these illusions and how they fall into our future plans for the game.
So, reading between the lines this means weave illusions will be rewards in the future in either re-worked weaves or re-worked deeds.

I would say it’s might now will.
For all we know, they might release yet another game mode, with weave illusions being sold there for shillings, but locked inside said game-mode.
Well, the wording is:
This means nothing now. Sure, they can stil decided otherwise. But the current statement clearly says otherwise. So I am with Mike137 here that it will be most likely be Weaves 2.0 +Ultra or Deeds.
