Someone tell me how the shield works. The wall type, not the bubble type.
Is it supposed to just block all ranged attacks until it ends? If so, there’s something wrong with it, because it often lets enemy ranged attacks through. Or is it supposed to weaken and start to let attacks through as it gets damaged or nears expiry? If so, that’s stupid as hell. Is there some bug that makes it look like it’s still there after it’s disappeared?
The white pillars on either end that suggest its protective height are actually taller than the protective height, leaving a good quarter of the apparent height of the shield open for enemies to just shoot you. Why?
Now for the pet peeves…
Why is the smokey visual effect nearly opaque and spread across the whole shield at eye level? I don’t even need to explain why this sucks.
Why doesn’t it block the spreading fire from barrels and firebombs? I know those things aren’t projectiles under the hood, but it really feels like these should be blocked.
Why is the deployment range so limited?
Why are there 4 possible orientations? The curve is barely even perceptible unless you’re standing perfectly in line with it and isn’t deep enough to provide any practical function.
Yes I’m mad. I just had a disaster run because the shield repeatedly failed me.
