What is Fatshark's stance on Voidstrike Staff animation cancel?

Is animation cancelling to fire off the Voidstrike staff a bad thing?

As it stands, it fires the Secondary shots almost twice as fast, but at maybe 10% more damage than normal. As for the standard primary attack it can shoot up to 50% faster, but the damage output is still lower than just about every gun in the game.

That being said, the Voidstrike does shoot off many times faster, but the damage output is still significantly lower than guns on every other class.

What’s Fatshark’s stance on this matter?

The secondary attack is a charge attack, you charge it as much as you want. You are not cancelling the animation, you are just releasing before the attack is fully charged.

A click/nocharge attack does 10%ish more damage than normal, and adds slight aoe/go thru enemies, but generates higher peril. The second two are what makes it stand out over guns.

A fully charged attack, does significantly more damage, and it can pierce thru multiple enemies in a line, and depending on the blast radius size, it can hit up to 3 enemies in a row, if aimed at middle enemy, and hit every single enemy behind them in a line, until it hits a wall, or any other solid object.
