so for what its worth i was testing “first tour guardsman”'s bully 3 bleed build.
well i switched to bleed stacked bullrush anyways. he goes with damage proc.
its build around light attacks and shrapnel on the rumbler.
cant say it aint fun, keep in mind he had some severe typos in the guide, still waiting for an answer wether he means unarmored or unyielding, guess the later, unarmored drop like flies.
anyways, took the chance for same auric maelstrom map back to back, one his one my build.
i wager in havoc AND premade bleeds the way to go, maelstrom its meh, ok but no room cleaner, krourk deals more damage reliably with shout n all.
soon as side effects subside next couple days gonna test it in havoc.
until then skyrim modded is the most those chems let me “concentrate” on if you can call it that
From my understanding/what I’ve gleamed from all the testing I did with it, the special is coded now as a ‘heavy attack into a ranged shot’, so it actually benefits from basically everything on the tree. It has most of it’s damage come from the ranged shot though/the explosion, so what’s actually funny to do is use it with Point-Blank Barrage, as both the Close-Range Damage and the Rending + Damage will effect it and make it hurt that much more. Sadly won’t swing faster with the increased fire rate, but one can always take Heavy Hitter (since as you pointed out, sadly Burst Limiter Override will not proc on the alt fire for some reason still, it would be gold if it did but whatever), and get that increased attack speed + initial punch damage, and have a ‘everything goes’ Ogryn build!
I’m gonna need to make that set up now and see how it goes…the main set up I’ve used with it now though is this one:
Focusing more on staggers, as Hard Knocks is a nice extra bit of damage as well to everything the Gauntlet does (and more so I wanted a build that uses the ‘Fire Away + Bombs Away’ talent synergy effectively XD and this does!). But one can make a build as described above pretty handily and it would probably make the gauntlet special real dang good…
Ended up now properly doing just that, and while the grenade doesn’t bleed, the punch still does! SO I ended up still going with bleed because melting monstrosities with high damage bleed thanks to Shattering Impact is real nice. Honestly feels really good, and I’m glad I shuffled some things around to make this! Feels real nice, and it’s nice 1-2 shotting anything in the game with explosive punches while gibletting everything else!
