Issue Description (Required):

I was first introduced to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and immediately fell in love with the game and delved into the rabbit hole of the lore for the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Well, I recently received this game (Warhammer: Darktide) as a gift on Steam and severely despise the servers of this game, nothing but either frequent lag (which gets me downed/pinned far too often) or the ludicrous amount of 2001-2014 error codes that make the game borderline unplayable. I want to love this game, I truly do, but the “dedicated” servers make this experience vexing and a slog to even play.

Despite how negative this may come off, I genuinely like the game, but holy crap…can we get servers like in Vermintide 2? I cannot fathom how a game from 2018 (Warhammer: Vermintide 2) has better servers and better matchmaking system than a game released in 2022 (Darktide). Please Fatshark, can peep-to-peer connectivity be implemented into Darktide? The fact I rarely disconnect mid level in Vermintide 2, yet suffer from consistent and persistent connectivity issues in Darktide is frustrating save the least.

Play Vermintide 2 if you want to play a Left 4 Dead formula set in a Warhammer setting.

Vermintide 2 has no servers, one player host the game. If he ragequits or his game crashed goodbye to the run.

Maybe you are lucky and leave in a densely populated area with a lot of vermintide 2 players around but for me was hell if my friends weren’t online, if I was lucky I was playing with 100 ping at most.

I’d rather deal with a peer-to-peer connection than Darktide’s servers. With my internet I rarely ever disconnect from other players on Vermintide 2, Darktide “dedicated servers“? It’s five to ten times per mission/activity.

Dunno about yourself mate, but having to reconnect more than three times to game servers is the furthest from playable. Especially when certain tasks/achievements require the player to remain in a mission for in its entirety.

Definitely a hot take but I remain firm.

Maybe add your logs to help identify a solution , sounds like the issue could be on your end.

Yea 3 disconnect per game sounds not normal, you definitely should submit a report to fatshark support.

I’ve sent multiple, still frustrating nonetheless.

I am also disconnecting constantly. I cannot finish a game. Keep getting Error 2014. I have uninstalled all mods and reinstalled the game three times. Nothing works, also East Coast.
