Didn’t Hiver Hairstyles get leaked years ago?
Its not disingenuous when its literally not true. 70 percent of the unique skins in game are form the paid shop, and the rest take a while to unlock. I’m speaking as someone who has been on the game daily for the last few weeks, checks the aquilas shop every week, has bought aquilas cosmetics, earned all the penance cosmetics, and has 2000+ hours in v2. Darktide is a cosmetic hellscape when its in game cosmetics are compared to the in game earnable cosmetics of v2. Its also only reskins. Look at the non aquilas shop, Each of those skins are the only skins they added at the point you referenced, and each of those skins is a recolor of the original penance skins. Again, if v2 can do it, then so can darktide. Darktide should have unique/cool cosmetics that one can earn in game, and at the same rate as they are making aquilas shop cosmetics. Its not disingenuous, its fact. Fatshark are wasting dev time out of lazyness and greed.
yup. Well said
Would unfortunately be an aquilas shop cosmetic, but yeah I would want those. Alongside a proper blue bullgryn outfits, a black tactical bullgryn cosmetic, a naked/rags/semi nude/flagellant/repentia zealot cosmetic, a vostroyan firstborn veteran cosmetic, a proper catachan cosmetic for veteran and/or ogryn, a third eye psyker cosmetic, a psyker cosmetic with mutations and/or special effects, and a psyker cosmetic with lots of tubes/cords attached to the back/back of the head. Unfortunately all of those would likely be aquilas shop cosmetics though.
Yeah the weapons cosmetics is honestly the worst part. They also even forgot to add the barebones red/blue cammo cosmetic for the new weapons in this new patch. They wont even give us that. The worst thing is them adding black, grey, and/or gun metal colored weapon cosmetics to the aquilas shop(very desirable/generic weapon colors) instead of the non aquilas shop.
well you did not say that in your first post. I agree that more is better, but I don’t agree that the game doesn’t have a good amount of customization options(at least in terms of facial/body and/or costumes), to the point that you are only capable of making “crackheads”. That’s just a lack of creativity. That being said, a lot of the cosmetics are barred behind micro transactions and/or playing a lot. That part I don’t agree with at all.
I asked for something similar for v2 during a FS stream, and they said “currently not in our plans”. GREEDY SOB’s. Hopefully they do something like this. Microtransactions as a whole are dumb, but especially when you have a substantial amount of content unavailable without the use of microtransactions(cosmetics count as content). I also have way too much in game currency than I need, and having the option to buy those skins(not reskins) would be nice. Reward the players who actually play your game FS. They are a smaller company, they do seem passionate, they make fun games, have a decent relationship with their community, etc. and so buying microtransactions from them doesn’t feel as bad. That being said, I don’t agree with it though or what’s being lost because of the time they are using for said microtransactions.
like necromunda/80’s punk rock looks? not sure, but id be ok with that. I guess I have seen some in the aquilas shop, but that is not what we want to hear.
This is debatable, although it depends on what you consider “unique.” In both the Commissary addition and the Penance update the vast majority of the new skins that aren’t recolors (which is already most of them) are just recombining pieces from existing free cosmetics. Technically unique, but it feels more like a redux than anything.
It’s a hyperbole bro. Just didn’t feel like making the bullets in the list any longer than they already were.
Fact remains that the options being plentiful doesn’t make them encompass all the different styles I would like to see.
Goofy looking characters are fun, but sometimes I just want my character (whether male or female) to have a normal longer length hairstyle or whatever else. Right now I can’t.
Costumes are fine for the most part. Shop rotating and absurd prices put a damper on it though.
