Nuh uh Thunder Hammer is clearly what 40k power weapons are supposed to be.
Ew. Don’t touch me, you probably have power cycler IV.

I’m sorry, TH is so average, I totally forgot these exist.
I am all for more balance passes. There are definitely ignored weapons… But I would rather they focus on fixing crafting so balance changes don’t invalidate all the RNG you had to wade through.
I don’t know about new Shovels, thanks to crafting system I have still to try them… but Eviscerator and Plasmagun seem to me very balanced, with pro and cons
Especially the Eviscerator when you meet a bunch of Crushers
Plasma is slow and you have to manage both ammo and heat
Yep. This. Hopefully fat shark can walk and chew gum at the same time in regards to this. Because rebalancing weapons is definitely a looming issue, but people are working hard to get weapons that work for them, and a balance pass could see entire meta builds destroyed, so the locks need to be broken so people can adapt without it being monumentally painful.
ye i say remove locks and make weapons do what they supposed to do
Stub revolver needs nerfed harder
All Tac axes need love
Bolter needs love
Columbus iAG needs nerfed
Dueling Sword 4 pokes need nerfed
Thammers need love on light attacks
Shredder Autopistol needs love
M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun is a Plasma Gun ,If the CLEAVE is very low, it will lose its characteristics, and in the case of a large number of heavy armor enemies and too slow reload and other elites, plasma weapons also have the risk of overheating and self-detonation and lack of ammo, I think this weapon is already very balanced, if you want players to try other weapons, you should strengthen other weapons instead of weakening relatively powerful weapons, I think Bolt Gun needs to be strengthened, As a rare heavy weapon in the game, it doesn’t play to its advantages, it’s not even as good as a revolver, a miniature rocket-propelled bullet can’t compare to the power of revolver ammunition 40K years ago, it’s too weak, too bulky, so that as a weapon that is one of the most distinctive symbols of the Warhammer world, it doesn’t show its charm and oppressive power at all, so I think it’s more important to strengthen other weapons than weakening the M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun, Especially the Bolt Gun, fanatics also use the Bolt Gun, but not many people use this gun now, and the flamethrower is just as unpopular, the two of them are too weakened, they should be strengthened instead of weakening the M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun, only the M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun is still worthy of its heavy weapon positioning among the heavy weapons now, I don’t want to see the M35 Magnacore The bullets of the Mk II Plasma Gun cannot penetrate a turkey
The worst idea of nerf, turning the weapon back to useless as it was before patch.
Could go 40 cleave and it would still be great.
Did you try it at 40?
Then I would skip the confidence in the “would still be great” part.
For some reason, combat designers didn’t make it 40 or 80.
Here, something else for you to read before making even more false claims:
no
Does the plasma gun have damage falloff? I feel like that’d be a more interesting way to tweak it, but with the curve remaining fairly slight e.g. 100 → 90 → 80 → 65 → 50 → 35 (just for example, please don’t argue with me on exact numbers). You keep the unique characteristic of punching through everything and pretty high damage through most of the curve; could even adjust the curve based on primary/secondary fire.
EDIT: I didn’t realise the Plasma Gun didn’t cleave Crushers (or, presumably, Carapace), which makes the 100 cleave kinda… eh. Cleaving Reapers/Bulwarks is cool and all, but being able to cleave everything (at the expense of damage falloff) would be more fun IMO.
If we could stop balancing weapons around arbitrary one-shot capabilities, that’d be swell.
Imo it’s well balanced and it’s one of the very few weapons that fits with Veteran Exe Stance (wich is the weakest Veteran builds too)
Infantry Autoguns just do their job: killing ranged enemies. Without this, they would be useless
Moreover they already have many cons:
Why? I’ve never seen one used. Ever.
lol.
Ok I stand corrected.
Edit: Oh is this just carapace? Can it punch thru mailers in mass via body shots?
It does. It got nerfed too hard. It went from being meta to a burden on the team if you bring it. It needs to find it’s middle ground.
To be fair 99% of that meta was just…Pinning Fire.
Before the balance pass, fixing the crafting system should be a priority, so evryone could properly build their weapon and you could really outline what need to be fixing and what not. And the Power Maul is the perfect exaple of this.
Paul maight have his flaws, maybe some buffs would really bring some benefit to the game, but does this looks like the worst weapon in the game?
The only problem is that to achieve this, you need specific stats, and specific perks and blessings (other than a specific choice of talents).
I am fine with weapons requiring proper tuning work to perform up to their excellence, but this needs to be easily achieved by anyone.
