I can confirm and add to this.
Warp Unbound, the final node of the Scrier’s Gaze ability, is inconsistent with ALL methods of generating peril- the Surge Staff is the most likely to fail because it generates the most peril. From what I can tell, any time you generate a spontaneous burst of peril from the use of a warp ability, there is an extremely high chance of the talent simply failing to activate and resulting in immediate overload. It seems to happen more often with abilities that generate higher amounts of peril (likely because the amount of peril you need to be at for that ability to send you over 100 is lower); but it CAN happen with any ability. I’ve even triggered it with the lowest peril generating ability, the left-click primary of the Purgatus (now Inferno) staff.
This inconsistency takes this talent from being one of the strongest in the entire tree, to the absolute weakest without question. It is completely and utterly worthless, absolutely without value whatsoever precisely because it is inconsistent. If it consistently didn’t work, I could at least just ignore it and move on. But because it does actually work something like half the time (and it does seem heavily RNG reliant, I’ve gone entire missions without it ever failing, and missions where it failed literally every single time), I am tempted to take it and roll the dice; which is ultimately a bad move.
Either remove this talent, or fix it so that it actually works.

Correct description for this talent:
“Scrier’s Gaze now also prevents overloading from Perils of the Warp by using your Blitz, during its lingering effect.”
Bumping this because Fatshark NEEDS to see it. Its an entire talent that is nonfunctional.
Can confirm. This talent does not work with Surge and flame staff’s secondary attacks AND flame staff’s primary attack as well
