The ‘ignore’ function is your friend with people like this.
I don’t use forums too much in general so pretty rusty with mechanics. I didn’t realise there was an ignore/mute. I’ll try and find it. Maybe expect a request for help finding that ![]()
Being dyslexic and having little time from being a working parent makes online intricacies a minefield lol
You can click on my name at the top of my post.
Then the name will be displayed in larger letters.
Click on that.
You will enter my profile page.
Click at the little bell icon at the top right and set it to what ever you like.
Your loss, if you ignore me.
As you see, i am actually quite friendly and helpful, when someone asks a reasonable question, or needs an explanation for something that actually is not explained in a text they just (didn’t)read.
Done. TY. I feel better already ![]()
it used to be 300 (5 minutes) back when you would get a warp charge for every kill using brain burst pre patch 13, since they have nerfed that when adding keystones they had to lower the penance requisite
Thank you. Yeah I did think it said 120 but then saw the website and thought I’d been mistaken. I didn’t have my game on at the time.
The 300 and all enemies sounds easier still though ![]()
It was easy but very annoying for the team. Sine you constantly ran around BBing very very slowly. But yeah, you could easily knock it out first malice/heresy game you played.
Tbf it wasn’t that bad at all.
You just had to constantly BB-kill a target, just before your ~30sec buff ran out.
Not really noticeable for the team.
Although i guess it might have been somewhat common for players to not pay attention to tbeir buff duration and instead just constantly spam BB to make sure that the buff never runs out as long as there is an enemy in line of sight.
In that case, it would have definitely been noticeable for the team.
True, but the game was also a massive bugfest so you didn’t know if you could trust the UI (which you still can’t) I had so many penances f-up on me back then that I wanted to make sure to get it.
Now the suicide penance was TRUE pain. Getting 3 elites killed with one self blow up was such a hassle. Especially since you had to soften them up just enough beforehand.
There were also no health bar mods back then. Goddamn the more I think about it the more I remember how truly atrocious some of the OG penacnes were.
All you had to do, was to get 3 berserkers infight, and have your teammates not attack them.
Then you just brainburst each one of them once (which would not kill them, but lower their health enough to be killed by the suicide explosion).
Then you had to make sure that all 3 of them were right next to you, and that you overheated and went through the overheat animation without being killed by the three berserkers (they would definitely kill you during the animation, in case they were attacking you).
Then you blow up and kill all 3 of them.
Very easy.
Very normal and useful gameplay.
Teaches the player a very useful skill as well.
To do some of the dumbest sh*t possible. ![]()
I guess the new version of the penance is fine.
Still dumb that you have to suicide, but at least it is very easy to get now, and it teaches the player that the explosion deals damage (so that they can make use of it, if they accidentally overheat).
As I said, lovely times.
The amount of grief FS had players deal to each other is staggering. They truly never played their own game.
auric damnation of high intensity, take every talent that buffs and spreads soulblaze and skip the one that increases it to 6. get purgatus staff and let it sing sibling.
(that said i think charges count as max charges if theyre at or above its base value of 1, similar to the power up penance, i could be wrong as it seems like a bug).
Don’t know how it works now.
I am pretty sure that it used to count “max stacks” as what ever your actual max stacks are, depending on the talents you chose.
So either 4 (default) or 6 (if you use the talent that raises the cap).
this is after the penance rework
If you tried to get it on any random map, yeah, it was a pain. Especially since elites were actually fairly uncommon back then. But there were two or three maps with guaranteed spawns that made it trivial. In particular, the Hab Dreyko ending even had them spawn endlessly in groups of three not far from the rez site so you had infinite chances for it.
Kinda silly that they lowered the number after increasing the elite density so much.
Yes you were right. My stacks went between 5-6 and it still completed. I did it first go and within 5 minutes. Was actually really easy in the end! Was expecting it to be much harder.
Thanks again for the tips ![]()
Any idea what warp charges actually do though? I’m none the wiser after googling it.
Warp siphon simply says how you gain the warp charges and how they stack… But it doesn’t explain the effect.
Does it add warp damage to all attacks?
The guy put me on ignore, because i asked him to read properly.
So can someone please repost this to the guy:
That is false. Warp siphon also explains what warp charges do by default.
Just like two of the connected talents explain, what additional effect they add to warp charges.
No it does not.
This guy got mad at me for asking him, if he is a troll.
I mean… There is no way that this guy is not a troll at this point.
Read the talents “Warp Siphon”, “Inner Tranquility” and “Ëmpyrean Empowerment”, all in the bottom left of the talent tree.
Yeah the description doesn’t explain it. What does the warp charge actually do?
Edit: sorry I think I understand now. It’s just to reduce cooldown. I thought that was just the side effect when releasing. I assumed there was an effect for when the stacks were held but I guess not.
