With the new skill trees does anyone know if the “max warp” charge is now 6 rather than 4 to complete this penance? When done with my skill tree my selections I made my warp charge cap 4. I did a high intensity Damnation run with 4 charges pegged most of the time for the 35 min run and the penance did not update.
Is 6 the new requirement regardless of tree selections?
Does this update with the new patch or is it a bug?
Is the requirement “continuous” 300 seconds or just 300 seconds total. OLD posts say total, but maybe this was changed to continuous?
@FatsharkCatfish, can you ask someone who is in charge (huehuehue) of penances to at least allow us to have a 2 stacks buffer when talent for max 6 stacks of warp battery is chosen?
If I recall correctly, It used to be this way before, not to mention any brain burst charged battery.
This penance shows in so many different ways glaring issues with Psyker and I do hope that it gets patched soon.
Many mechanics on Psyker rely you specifically to kill enemies to keep things going. No other class gets punished nearly as badly when your team mates kill stuff instead of you. Want to use the soulflame mechanic? Well, you need to kill them, so by the time you apply the debuff, someone else just shreds away your work. Want to use warp battery? Hope you get the kills and you don’t have someone sniping away every single of your targets - no matter what Blitz you use or how quickly you draw your gun.
This penance is, pardon my french, total bs. Appearantly you got battery charges on every brain blast before, which I can easily see being doable and being a medium difficulty challenge. As it stands right now, even if you rig the mission to your favour as hard as possible (high intensity, going way beyond the difficulty grade, whatever) chances are you have to storm ahead permanently (as the squishiest class!) to even have a chance to keep 4 charges alive, much less 6.
Here’s what I would potentially change, any one of these or all of them would do:
-Trigger the 10% on burning enemies killed for any team mate in coherence, or make it on application of the burn.
-Have the penance ask for 4 charges specifically, so the 6 charge trait gives you a buffer. I’d personally even go as far as only asking for 3 charges because 5 minutes with all the forced down time is still rough and on Malice you might legitimately not get enough specials to get 6 charges going.
-Revert the change to have every Brain Blast give a charge again. It is a slow method of killing most enemies as is.
-Reduce the timer to 180 seconds. That’s still quite hard but you don’t need perfect luck and the perfect team to make it happen.
On an off-topic note: The Cliffhanger penance is also very questionable, considering there is only one mission in the entire pool where you even have the chance to make it happen, if your team doesn’t shred your targets before you get to try it. But no one talks about that one.
