You’ve yet to really prove anything either. The class doesn’t exist in a vacuum. All classes are currently overtuned for the content, and you’ve done nothing to disprove that.
The only thing this patch did was put vet in line with all the other classes.

I had the following problems yesterday with my Veteran:
Both absolutely perfect problems to have.
I will try combo the Weapon Specialist with a Bolter to see if it can help with the reloads.

Well, more loadouts is something that could be reasonably fixed (if you’re on PC, there’s a mod for it)

As someone that alts a Vet (main Zealot), I must say i haven’t had any problems with the former patch its talent trees, except maybe that it was a bit hard to justify using the keystones, right now however I feel like they have hit the nail on the head. Vet tree feels proper, with a lot of potential for fun and valid builds.

Bolter is not one I’ve considered with the guaranteed crits. Wonder if you get multiple because its a burst so its technically “one” shot.

EDIT: It doesn’t count the entire burst as one shot. Unfortunate. Might have been a justification to the unholstering speed being a hinderance for the playstyle.
EDIT 2: Gave me an idea. Plasma gun never having to be reloaded is actually quite nice. I can use a weapon without any armor pen as well since plasma can take care of that for me.
Also, I hate bulwarks.
It not about min-maxing i just like the bolter but the reload is terrible.

Apologies. This thread is mostly outdated anyways (because it was started in Patch 15), and was 2 days away from being time locked.
It wouldn’t be the worst idea to lock it now as most of what we are covering could be put in other threads, or new topics altogether.
The main talking point covered in the thread was about the balance of Veteran who is now in a good place. I think the discussion around that has overall ended after this patch.
