Basically title.
Vet got left in the dust here in this update and everything feels horrible. Other classes deserved more focus and better options without a doubt, but don’t annihilate one class’ identity and function at the same time as making everyone else substantially better.
– The stealth thing is a cool idea on a bar napkin but does not work in this game whatsoever outside of that ONE time it may come in handy. Otherwise you’re basically throwing while running it.
– Support…veteran? Why? Ogryn, Psyker, and Zealot all can support better and provide better CC and DPS than Veteran at the same time…so why does that even exist? Similar ultimates were Kruber’s and sucked in Vermintide so there’s no reason they’d be good here either.
– Psyker and Ogryn are better ‘sharpshooters’ than the Sharpshooter by a country mile. Psykers don’t even have to really aim with their infinitely refreshing automatic homing bees of doom.
Veteran should have been more focused on providing bonuses for the party and themselves via ranged pressure in multiple ways, not being a wholly worse version of their previous iteration. Simple things like stacking reload speed increases from precision kills, damage bonuses from multiple headshots on highlighted targets before the ultimate ends, or even an actual grenadier loadout/build with swappable grenades during the mission for utility. Or maybe even have each branch focus on specific weapon types and being a Master of Arms of some kind, using each weapon type to the fullest and adding some flair to them that no one else can. Not this trash where the bonus base ammunition is a talent near the bottom of one specific branch…the only one that is even remotely viable.
