Vet new havoc build

inspired by a conversation with @Rvl i’ve worked to conjure up a build for the Veteran die hards that would allow you to just not be a burden to your team in higher havocs

Bolter is still king as a tool of nit picking gunners and occasional boss buster

the Stam curio is to survive boss spams for just enough to get your voice of command back on

I’ve reached 40 as my own assignment a few days ago and for now I’m taking a break from Havoc.

Nice build, but for more consistent oneshots on Dreg Gunners on Havoc 40 I use Surgical, since I’m already using bolter as a sniping weapon.

I also use Grenade Tinkerer and Grenadier for more boss damage and to stop Bulwark squad spam instead of the reload talents that you chose.

By the way, the best way to kill Twins is to stick Krak Grenades on them as soon as their shield goes down, since their shield is time-based, and not % of HP-based. When their shield is down, you have approx 10-15 seconds to deal any amount of damage that you can, and actually if you stack Ogryn’s taunt and full stacks of Focus Them, you can instantly oneshot one of the Twins…

I alternate between those two melee weapons for horde clear. Chainsword is really good for orange buff modifier in Havoc where horde enemies survive for longer.

so reletable

Btw I’ve played multiple games with that guy named Yaman that you had in one of your games. Did he play Zealot with a red hood and steampunk glasses cosmetic? XD I felt kinda bad for him, because I saw him going from 29 to 35, back to 29 again in the same week. But he’s a good player, better than some I’ve played 35+ with.

I helped some guys at lower Havoc levels only to figure out that you don’t get anything for helping low Havocs, but you can still get demoted for losing them.

yes, you are only risking your deployments, i lost a 24 game with some no hopers, and lost my 34 something deployment

yAmAn and myFaceIsMyShield were playing zealot, and FRANCISCO FRANCO on his smyker, who carried us untill he went looting alone and got blasted by some shooters

Seems pretty solid, I tend to focus down the right side of the tree mainly for desperado and that 25 toughness pip (with my set up I end up having 200 toughness, which is like, base level toughness for a Psyker in normal game XD so it feels decently nice. Though getting 1 shot by a miss timed dodge to an overhead doesn’t feel great but I don’t think that’s preventable regardless). But still seems quite functional! I also like inspiring barrage just for those panic moments without shout to get your toughness back, but being able to reliably use that depends on how willing your team is to give you ALL the ammo drops/most of the ammo crate hits.

(this ends up being what I tend to use)

But, seems very solid!

no Determined on a melee build, uhhh, sounds like pain to me, yet, you go full thougness, i suppose it can work

Yeah, it’s mostly viable because Agile is broken AF. So 99% of the time I’m either dodging or sliding, hence the mobility also being maxed out over Cleave Damage. As the point is more to ‘live so my teammates can kill everything’, and throw high powered Shredders to keep the wave managed while also shouting everything over.

One can absolutely drop Trench Fighter + Field Improvisation to get to Determined though, I’m just ‘very squirmy’ is the best way to put it. Always slash poking everything, dodging constantly, and making sure I have space while having an exit plan if at all possible to get behind cover if the guns get to fierce, to then boltgun them once safely behind the team/after getting a shout off. So I’ve never really felt ‘suppression immunity’ truly helping me much, over just stab dodge slide run awayyyy.
