EDIT: Hmm, looking at the drop rates of different boxes in the difficulty selection screen. it seems that General Vaults are guaranteed 296-300 whilst Emperor’s Vaults are 300… whilst all other chests seem less than the 295-300 Item Power before the update 280-300 for Peasant Vaults and 260-300 for Peasant Chests - which presumably is similar to crafting
Is Item Power working as intended?
I’ve been getting lower than Item Power 295 from Legend Vaults which feels… a bit odd.
This isn’t much of a problem for me as I’ve played since launch and over almost 1700 hours played and I’ve had over 200 red items.
But got a friend who started playing about 6 weeks ago and managed to get Kruber, Bardin and Sienna to 35 and Satlz and Kerrilian to 30 thanks to the x2 XP event. Naturally this included getting to 300 item power.
Both of us have been getting far lower item power than the 295-300 spread we’re used to from crafting and opening chests, including the afore mentioned Legend vaults… (A quick test, I appear to craft 268 items)
I understand I think the intent is for higher chance of getting reds.
They outright seem worse off from this update so far… which is meant to improve the new player experience.
Likewise it seems that it has undone some of the their progression towards certain Challenges for Helmgard Legend clears on careers that unlock the Black and Gold cosmetics.
