Useless wealth

Gold:
Where do I spend it? Yes, you can tell me to make perfect things for every situation, make each version of the guns perfect to always be in the meta. But why do it in advance, if with the release of a balanced patch/fix, I can spend any amount of resources and quickly recoup them and then they accumulate again.
By the way, about accumulation, for those who have not seen it or do not know, the limit is 25k - after this, it will be credited on the mission rewards, but as soon as you finish it - oh, the commission of the Sharks and you have exactly 25k. Is it really so hard to increase the limit? Seriously, this annoys me. I have a thing, I can’t drop the amount of gold below 24k, I don’t know why and don’t ask, but even so, I just spend 1k on buying clothes through the mod, and then just keep gray clothes with good stats. Can’t the limit be increased to 100k or just removed? Not everyone has this problem, but, come on, did FS not consider that players would reach these values? And I’ve had this amount of gold for a very long time already.

Hexagons from Melk:
A question for the knowledgeable: Do they have a limit after which no more accruals are made?
And now, onto a serious matter: how often do you buy weapons that get updated once a day? I can say on 4 level 30 characters, I might see only 1 weapon/armor piece in a WEEK, and even then it’s not always worthy of a purchase, only has good stats. What’s the point of the shop if the majority of the time, the weapons displayed there just provoke the reaction “what nonsense will they show me today?”
The only thing where you can spend them is to buy random trinkets, because you can’t get them quickly any other way (I know about the buffs to their drop rate).
Perhaps it’s worth reconsidering the quality of the weapons that appear once a day, so that there’s a point in spending resources where it’s intended.

Plaststeel and Diamondite
I don’t have a problem with the amount of items with good stats, I have so much armor and jewelry that it will take me about an hour to sell it, that’s my problem. But even when there was a shortage of Plaststeel, I remember perfectly well that I had a lot of Diamondite. And I remember there were suggestions to introduce the possibility of exchanging one resource for another, not necessarily a 1-to-1 exchange, of course, there’s no point in discussing the numbers, I’m not good with math. Perhaps it’s time to add such an exchange? And the same goes for gold, it can and should be used to purchase these resources.

I am ready and willing to listen to the suggestions and wishes from the players, because the community managers from Fettshark are a myth and they do not exist, or they only appear during holidays, which means the chance of them appearing or reading this topic is extremely low.

Hopefully inventory UI and UX is part of the itemisation update because it is an absolute slog (even with mods) to sort through and clean up your inventory. Even selling is mostly useless because it only gives you dockets.

The shop timers suck. Melk is only good for keeping an eye for blessings you don’t have. Brunt’s has way too large a range for weapon ratings. The commissary got one inventory update and then never again. The Emperor’s gift if 100% random on all levels making it useless 99% of the time.

There were vestiges of a booster system in the lua, that charitably, I could assume was to be a docket sink.

There have been so many crafting threads that by now, FS must have seen almost all of the possible pain points being mentioned.

I think at this point, we should just wait for the crafting update to hit, and see what it does.

Also:

Probably not.
I think with a good crafting system, players would not have reached these values any time soon, since they would have spent the ressources instead of hoarding them.

I think, I’d take me an hour or two to use up all that you’ve accrued.

negative

I like the idea of a trade booth. Where you could trade resources for other resources. That would make all of them simultaneously useful.

All of them would still not be very useful.
Because there is nothing good to spend them on.

True for those of us who’ve sunk an unhealthy amount of time into the game, but I do remember earlier on when I wanted to try out different weapons builds with different upgrades and I had lots of dockets but no plasteel etc and wished that I could trade for some.

There’s still loads of weapons I’ve not truly explored with updates due to costs and bricking. If I could trade my huge dockets wallet for some plasteel or diamantine then I’d be much more inclined to really explore all the customisations.

Hopefully the new crafting update will fix it anyway and I’m hoarding everything until then incase it’s all useful once more.

The limit for each is 25 million

Suggestions:

  • Allow conversion to Aquilas for Premium cosmetics. Some lower cosmetics you can buy with dockets. Hah unlikely.

  • Once a mission is over, excess resources earned over limit could be re-distributed to other players whom have not reached limits, so not wasted.

The idea of transferring excess resources to other players in equal shares is great, I never thought of that. Essentially, if you have a full wallet, what else can you spend it on, right? I was also thinking about buying Aquils, and that’s where you can use the currency from Melka, for example, at a rate of 100k to 1, or some other more realistic rate, that would allow you to buy a complete set from the shop in, let’s say, a month (you can calculate the numbers yourself, I’m not a fan of them).

I understand that it’s necessary to wait, but usually you’re waiting for something rather than building theories about what might be. It wouldn’t hurt for them to release a roadmap for this year, even without dates. For example, this year expect: a new crafting system, new weapons, a new map, 50 new donation styles, and new technical issues.

No need to swap for aquilas if the vanilla cosmetics shop is updated with more stuff/colours/patterns, then we’d have more things to spend the dockets on.

They will never let us have aquilas for free so I think more content in the cosmetics shop is a simple solution. It’s long overdue by now.

Its not how it works, you spend your resources to get better version of your favorite weapons, with ‘‘buy untill rating’’ mod you can buy dozens of weapons from the brunt armory at once, and it discards automatically the ‘‘lesser’’ ones according to your settings (auto discard is disabled as default)

then you spend the materials to reveal if they are better or worse than yours

i’ve spent all my resources to get my hands on the kit i use on my main, you basically are perma broke untill you find the ones that satisfies you

the system is predatory, its made to not let you satisfied ever, but some rare people (like yourself) are not being affected by this psycological trick

this is my wallet for reference

i did collect all the blessings at all tiers, for that i’ve used a lot of melk on 7 different characters, when i start the hunt for a weapon i either go red in dockets or plasteel

I’m now going to admit that I’ve never once ever bought from brunts armoury.

I just can’t abide paying for something without seeing it first. I mean… What stats will it have? Why is it a mystery? I’ve never understood this part of the game.

its a gambling gatcha system that everyone hates, included the people like me who use that, but its either that or shop camping at the vendor if you want better stuff

for curios its even worse, its just shop camping at the vendor, cause no way i’m using the melk’s random curios thingy

i’ve grinded tons of hours for crafting better equipment sake, but even I am not buying randoms from melks

But jokes aside - there have to be a gambling ring or something that would allow us to spend all of that on something not combat or crafting oriented.

Yes, I use this mod, and the blessings are already there… but the problem with accumulating resources hasn’t disappeared anywhere. I have top gear, my favorite gear that I have. I even still have the very first knife for the zealot with bloodlust, from the time when there was nothing with crafting… And the resources are still piling up

Yeah I’ve always just checked the vendor each cycle between missions.

Is it possible to get higher tier stats from brunts compared to the vendor? Or should I just stick with the vendor?

yes that is the whole point of it, its even better cause they are grey, so they have more possibilities when you upgrade them

its all luck of course like in any gambling system, i’m usually satisfied with a weapon after i dump 2-3 millions at the brunt armory

then at Hadron i often just upgrade to max, or stop at purple if all 3 blessings and perks are not the ones i’m looking for

barter with hadron mod is also usefull, it helps deleting the weapons that just shi t rolled, so you don’t have to suffer them in your inventory for a second too much

I have said this before.
DT needs a material dump.
re-colors for existing skins or some other non-gamebreaking faff thats fun to collect.

same problem with V2 when you played for a while like the fans of FS games usualy does the materials becomes usless and unspendeble.

Even with the crafting update most that have over 10mil probably have all the A-tier rolls for every weapon they need and probably won’t spend so much
