Too Stubborn to Die: +100% Toughness Replenishment while below 25% Health.
Would someone more mathematically inclined than me please explain the difference?
How does this interact with other sources of Toughness Replenishment? Would Smash 'Em (20% Toughness on Heavy attack single target) go from 40% → 120% Toughness Replenishment?
This only effect interaction with other increased replenishment sources. +100% should be a 2 times multiplier, but calculated additively it will only double the base value instead of being multiplicative with other increases.
Eg.
Previously:
Linchpin increases T regen in coherency by 50%. Previously it would have been: (Base)x1.5x2=(base)x3Basically triple the base value.
Now:
(Base)+(Base)x0.5+(Base)x1=(base)x2.5
Other example would be a combo with heavy hitter’s Unstoppable which by this change should be reduced from x4 (with both active) to “only” x3.
Additive multipliers are all added together before affecting the base value, whilst multiplicative values will then multiply that result, each multiplier affecting the new result.
So, if you have two +50% additive modifiers, and two +50% multiplicative modifiers on a 100 number, here’s how it would work out:
100 * (1 + 0.5 + 0.5) = 200
200 * 1.5 = 300
300 * 1.5 = 450
The final value is pretty big! But not as large as it would have been had those first two values been multiplicative instead. So overall, multiplicative values are more powerful than additive values.
