Thoughts on the Authoritarian Personality for the Arbites

This will be based on my opinion on the Male Authoritarian as I don’t have a Female Authoritarian. Please feel free to let me know more about the Female Authoritarian in the replies.

Whenever I play as my Arbitrator, it feels like the Authoritarian although following the rules of the Lex, are pretty lax when it comes to the rejects. Like he says, in an interaction with the bodyguard Ogryn, “What I do not know, I need not enforce,” he knows the Ogryn broke a rule yet does not try to pry it out of them.

The Male Authoritarian seems just like a person who knows they are outcast due to their training and the matter that they are an Arbitrator, but especially more-so than other Arbitrators, and is trying to compensate for that now, by making an effort to get along with the Rejects. Trying to even share his passion of music with them.

Still hates the Hive Scum though. However, a notible interaction I’d like to point out is with the Male Outlaw, where the Male Authoritarian says that the Lex is not ironclad and may yet offer them mercy. I don’t know what kind of mercy, but I interpret that as the Authoritarian is not hateful against the Outlaw for who they are, but because of what they choose to do/their actions in breaking the Lex.

Another example for the Hive Scum is between the Male Authoritarian and the Female Bounty Hunter. I’d like to take note that one of their interactions is with the Authoritarian suggesting they try to trust one another. They both end up disagreeing, but I think that if the Female Bounty Hunter did agree with the Male Authoritarian, then he would genuinely have made an effort to try, despite his convictions towards the Lex and the Bounty Hunters lexbreaking.

Anyways, that’s my take on the Male Authoritarian Arbitrator. I initially chose them because they sounded a bit Asian like me, and weren’t as depressed as the Fatalist and ruthless as the Maul. And I stuck to them because I found out through their interactions that they were more than just a stickler for the Lex.

I personally went through every other before trying authoritarian out. The name and description gave me the vibe he was going to be a borderline religious zealot. But now that I know what he’s actually like, I’m never changing him. He gives me golden retriever vibes. He has such an infectiously positive personality. The harshest thing I’ve heard him call any reject is calling the loner a liability, but he still tries to be nice to them. I absolutely love how he tries so hard to be everyone’s friend. And the way that he talks about the Lex is as if it’s his autistic special interest. He’s endearing as hell.

I run the Authoritarian aswell. He goes with the Lex but is not blind to “Life”. He fights right in. Wanted to go with Dredd but so many run him im fine.

I run Kerry Voice Actor on my female Arbites, so im not sure which she is. i think the Maul. She sounds just like Kerrillian if you have played Vermintide 2, its amazing. I dont mean the Voice, thats obvious, but what she says, her dark Humour and all, its really funny. She fits very well with the Bodyguard Ogryn, my buddy and me had a lot of laughs
