I am honestly just adding on to the conversation that’s been said already to make more noise about it. It does not feel like we got the entire game as features are missing and there’s less content than what VT2 had. FatShark regressed all progress that this community and the dev team did to make VT2 a more enjoyable experience and most of that stuff was never implemented into the DarkTide. That is just shameful. This release is easily worse than VT2 when you consider all of these facts.
And don’t even get me started on the cash shop. The PCGamer article with the FatShark LeadDev is just insulting to read if they think people are that stupid. It was completely unnecessary to lie about that when its obvious that shop was 100% intentional. I know Tencent took over a majority share in FatShark and I am losing confidence for the future of WarHammer if this is how things are going to be.
It really does. The fundamentals of an amazing game are there, and it is fun even in the state it is in, but it needs a lot of refinement. A lot of features like classes, crafting, gearing in general, story, amount of maps are so bare bones it’s amazing how anyone can claim with a straight face that this is a final product.
Yeah, it feels like a very polished and almost ready early access.
I think if it would not be already have been delayed several times and so long in development they would have delayed it again or even released it as EA.
Still, gameplay is sound, missing crafting hurts a lot, especially because there is no way so far to work towards a great weapon (at least none beside pray to Emperor’s RNG), but overall the fun is there.
Yeah it def. feels like early access. I miss A LOT! Its a fullprice Game, devs…
Where is the Story? Vermintide 1/2 had a story. This Game feels like a Choices of maps. nothing more.
Its Wh40k! Where are all the Weapons? Where is the Melter, Laser-Canon (not the Flashlight), Heavy Bolter (for Orgins), Plasmapistol, -gun, -canon, Powersword, - helberd, -fist (for Orins), -axt, -maul, -spear, Lightling Claws and so on.
Why can i only collect Tombs or Grims? Why not both? Where is something new in relation to Vermintide 1/2?
The Charakters feel realy flat. Where is my Kerillion or Kruger (for example)? In terms of skills i mean.
Only one Enamytype? Where is Khorn (or the others), where is the not dirty part of the Macropolworld? Where are the Parks (green maps), the fields, trees and so one? Where is the Shipyaerd?
WHERE ARE THE NON GREY OR YELLOW MAPS? They are all feeling the same.

Different looking Armor would be nice for 40€ fullprice Game.
They had a good framework in V2 as well, so it baffles me that they decided to downgrade their product. They must have known precisely what players liked about V2, and I am not only referring to the gameplay but crafting and store and everything else on the side.
Why would they just… throw that stuff away? The current “end-game” is literally waiting for a store to refresh and hope you get lucky enough for a weapon that you can slap some additional traits on.
Apparently they had a crafting system working that they then scrapped and started working on a new one from the ground up? Does anybody have a source or link for this? Heard a streamer mention it.
