This game become a slide dodge simulator

I don’t know if it’s me who’s messing up but it seems to me that the spawn of gunners has gone crazy again, they are in large numbers and in all directions. And with the damage they do it’s becoming difficult… So I don’t know if I’ve been unlucky these last games with the players. I finish each time the last survivor but even to raise the dead it’s tense. Even with slide dodge the curios and everything I’m starting to find this game unpleasant.

thats kinda what happens when you dive gunners or fight without cover.

Though i do agree to some extent gunners do not function correctly if you are moving fast enough and i think their locks are a bit too unforgiving in some situations.
like why can they fire at you faster than than they can turn? shooting at an L shape shouldnt be possible

FS really wants us to learn that “Sprinting Perpendicular to Enemy Fire counts as Dodging” mechanic it seems.

Really not intuitive to turn 90 degrees when you spot a gunner/shooter squad.

Although if I recall correctly you could do this while running diagonally at gunners but truthfully I always forget this mechanic exists so I’ve not experimented much.

This is the same with dogs last time I was in a cover and he just do and L jump…

dogs also have some issues but for me at least theyre not as bad as a few patches ago. i even managed to make crouching mid dog jump to avoid them work a few times.

You right but when you got a group standing in every possible direction you are juste destroyed in no time. I have see some group of 10 reaper since last week… pretty often in a tunnel or lil place don’t think this is the best way to boost the difficulty…

nah its very doable in meatgrinder but the netcode doesnt usually allow it :laughing:

I have been thinking the same recently. Gunners seem to be more powerful than they used to.

I have 2 gunner curious and still they seem to rip into me quite a lot.

The curios don’t do much
It’s % less damage sure but it’s % less damage over a whole load of low damage high rof attacks

Yes, the meta has very much become go fast or go home with elite spawns being turned up to utterly ridiculous levels where your best option is to evade because good luck fighting 12 crushers, 16 ragers and 8 gunners head on oh and yeah you gotta pick weapons that make you faster and kill these enemies in 1-2 hits.

I remember when dt was a slower paced game where being a rush zealot was considered a bad thing now the whole game is balanced around being a rush zealot.

What difficulty? HISTG?

Part of it is the range they are able to engage at. Depending on the map terrain, sometimes gunners can engage at near Sniper ranges which is just absurd given how accurate their high rate of fire is.

Wouldn’t be as bad if Vet smoke grenade was more transparent to teammates and had a bigger cloud, then Vets would have a better reason to not run shredders.

This is a very good question because I have start an Ogryn and I have click for a damnation run in standard. And I was dropped in a mission. And this is another problem because you can ask for a simple damnation run and finish on an almost auric map. So can’t tell you. I can handle a damnation actually but not more even if I have a full geared Ogryn I need practice and don’t looking for more now.

Sonetimes HISTG Damnations appear in the Standard mission menu and those basically are Aurics in enemy density without the title. Those are exceptionally “fun” because they sweep up more casual players than Auric menu missions.

Think this is not so good especially for some players I know the system and I’m ok for the challenge and have a try but when you finish with a ton of dead you are pretty exhausted and don’t think everybody was really ready for this… standard board must be standard and auric is auric… don’t look over complicated.

Yeah carrying almost the entire missiom is pretty mentally exhausting. Psyker is my main so often times I’m dead if I’m the last one standing. Good enough to hold my own, not good enough to carry.

It’s silly that our characters can slide around at high speed without any Stamina cost.
Heck, sliding is restful.

That lack of cost takes it from a cool tactic to a spammed bit of make-work.

It’s truly something when our rejects of the imperium fight like eldar.

Honestly fatshark should make a eldar game hell the classes could be their respective life paths, they’ve already got the gameplay down. And dt’s story is already so detached and convoluted much like how the eldar present themselves
