There are so many gunners sometimes it is not fun

The main problem with gunners that needs to be fixed is the insanely stupid pushback they do when shooting you, in combination that there is absolutely zero feedback that you are getting shot from them. Also the mechanic they added for WAY overdone suppression where if you are getting shot your weapon jiggles off of your screen, literally removing it from view (even though its still technically there in terms of being able to fire back), they need to address and fix these things.

when did i say that I am struggling with gunners on a veteran? mate i just shoot them before they shoot me
i don’t play a focused veteran build at the moment because I’m here to play veteran to use guns. if i want to be using melee 24/7 with a side action of guns. i will play zealot

you clearly haven’t been reading my posts because you have a twisted view of what I’m trying to say here

f me all i said was veteran would struggle with some builds against gunners, and you have taken this to mean that I’m implying their is nothing veteran can go against gunners
some zelot builds would struggle against gunners
some psyker builds would struggle against gunners
some ogren builds would struggle against gunners

happy? are you happy now? i said the thing about all the character, so you don’t have to feel like I’m particular trying to offend your precious veteran character that you love so much

I think the current population of gunners/shooters is just fine.
From my experience, having played approx 2k hours of this game, I used to think there were too many gunners/shooters too when I was newer to the game.

What I’m trying to say is that sooner or later you’ll find it easier and easier to nullify the ā€œgunner effectā€ this game throws at you when you first experience higher difficulties.
As a matter of fact, here’s a build made specifically for dealing with ranged enemies. You can use it either as a response to the ā€œgunner problemā€ or as a build that gives you enough ā€œleewayā€ with shootie-boys until you get comfortable with closing the distance between you and them

I’m not sure why you even need a build specifically focused on taking down gunners, you can just run up to them before they even realize your there and kill them, sprint between their bullets, or just simply dash directly towards them and kill them
zealots one of the strongest characters in the game at the moment, the only thing you should be scared of as a zealot are, crushers, maulers and raggers

That build would have been slaughtered.The gunners in the street and on the balconies would have ripped it to shreds. Stripped down is garbage… I’ve used it to try and make an immortal rusher build. I don’t care to explain or ague. I just asked for gunners to reload to create pauses players can use for strategies. I’m done with this.

I definitely on my knees in the night saying prayers for my homies to save me as they pour round after round into my brainstem without a reload. It would be a lot of work, but there is a meme remix in there.

I’ll say that my prioritization has changed pretty dramatically with gunners, but my biggest issue is that most random players haven’t really figured out how dangerous they are yet. Also haven’t had a good bubble or shield psyker in two weeks. Most of them seem to forget they even have it. There are builds that will let you drop two in 20 seconds. I’m about to break my shield psyker back open and save some runs.

i have tried the stealth builds, they don’t feel good to play as a zealot
the stealth build is build around going stealth, moving position and then doing a large amount of damage to a single target
so essentially it helps you kill a single crusher (big woop) help you do more damage to a boss from a single shot (big woop)
the problem is as soon as you leave stealth, you loose the buffs so it’s a one shot wonder that doesn’t actually improve the zealot gameplay in any meaningful way
how does this help me get out of fire when I’m fighting a hoard and a bomber throws a grenade where i am, if you want to get close to gunners fury of the faithful can do the same thing but quicker, and you get a second charge on it, and the buffs last after you use it
for a new player i would not recommend stealth at all, it has less utility then just, dashing directly towards the enemies and killing them quick
also i know health curious might seem nice because of zealots base health stats
but remember half the stuff in the tree is giving you toughness DR which would be multiplicatively stacked with toughness curious
not to mention more toughness on a zealot lets you gain back more toughens from your perks since they are % based
if you have 100 toughness and you gain 5% that’s 5 toughness
if you have 200 toughness and you gain 5% that’s 10 toughness
so having more toughness actually buffs your toughness regeneration capabilities

if you want an immortal rusher build try this
this probably works with this devil claw swords as well but, the knife has the highest base crit in the game, movement speed attack speed etc, so it is the strongest for this

if you don’t like the crit gameplay take an antax or any other weapon you want tbh
this build is not as strong as the crit bleed build, not as much synergy, less alts less toughness DR it’s just worse overall
