The past year of updates for Helldivers 2 has made the game better

Have you seen the current state of the helldivers 2 community with their recent patch and monetization changes with all new player content behind warbonds?

Don’t take the bait guys just ignore him

I’m going to have to disagree. Since the Into the Unjust update almost bricked my pc

Updating once a quarter with barely any content would drive any player mental. You wait three whole months, and the only thing you get is a scavenging mode. And they never give proper buffs to underpowered weapons. How many of you actually think the Demon Claw is strong enough to handle multiple situations on Auric difficulty? And the Heavy Sword—I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve mentioned it. Even after a buff, it’s still weak. Not to mention all the bugs that never get fixed. The Veteran’s plasma gun charged shot still costs a minimum of 5 ammo, not the 1 they wrote in the patch notes. The Ogryn’s Kickback has had its numbers swapped for nearly two years now. The optimisation’s terrible, and the game’s almost 100GB. With all that piled up, they’re still arguing about balancing one skill. I honestly doubt they’ll ever balance the gold toughness for Veteran and Zealot. The Psyker’s bubble shield still has an insanely high pick rate, and I really don’t think that’s a good sign for the game. Why can’t FatShark manage one new map or a major event every month? The newest main story map is still the one from last December, the ‘No Man’s Zone’. And the new mode they invested in—barely anyone plays it. (Does anyone actually go hunting for those scrap parts just for the penance?)

Yeah, nah, you’ve got it backwards. Right now, if a weapon can’t deal with one or two armoured elites efficiently, it might as well be dead in the water. Chainsword, Heavy Sword, Devil’s Claw—they’re prime examples. But if a weapon’s great at killing armour, even if everything else about it’s rubbish, people will still run it all the time. Thunder Hammer’s a perfect example.

And as for that bit about off-meta builds not being welcome in Havoc? Sorry, but I spent an entire day trying to queue as my charge-focused Zealot, and I got rejected from every single group. Soon as I swapped to gold toughness? Got into a pub match straight away. So much for ‘no discrimination’, yeah?

Both FS and AH are terrible companies.

Arrowhead in particular refused to balance stuff (flamethrowers, mechs) or even fix the bugs (supressors not working) before another paid slop Warbond using the mechanics in question was introduced.

yes please, I’m a bit bored until conan exiles revamp goes live at may 5th

Might unironically be one of the better options when running Exec with Helbore since parries are goated on this thing and armor can be solved by teammates/kraks

Don’t move the goalpost now

You said “can’t keep up”, and now you’re saying “well but I don’t get accepted”

Bad tryhard wanna be players will be Bad tryhard wannabe players and reject people who don’t run full meta

Go play Helldivers 2 then.
Like, seriously. If you get bored of DT, play something else.

No, what HD2 did was buffing the underperforming weapons - then buffing enemies also. So basically nerfing the outperforming weapons, while tricking the “no nerfs only buffs” ever-whining kids like morons. FS did this too btw, when buffing base classes last year - then increasing HP pool of many enemies. But generally FS does more sane work when it comes to balance, without catering to people that don’t understand how balancing works (or even believe that “balance isn’t required in PvE game”).

this has to be the funniest post i’ve ever seen on the forums

:index_pointing_at_the_viewer: :slightly_smiling_face: :pinching_hand:

IMHO only those who’ll focus too much of their playtime and attention on one game alone. To those who feel that way, I’d suggest playing other games or going outside and touch some grass and other real things for a change.

How do you know that?

If all this talk about hell divers is why we got Expeditions than by the emperor kill this thread and every topic even mentioning hell divers.

Nah mate pass.

to do the “real things” would get me in jail pretty quick

then again if you wear your enemies head as a trophy I guess you have a quiet time in lockup for no ones trying to mess with ya

on the serious side : whats with the focus on updates to keep playing?

still enjoy games that haven’t been “updated” (bare the odd source port) for thirty years :man_shrugging:

once you fell in love with a game for the games sake, you can play it for the ages and still enjoy the heck out of it.

darktide aint perfect but to be honest I’d still play it if it was in release state, at least power creep wouldn’t be a thing.

rather enjoy the what is than the what might never be

Arrowhead have been systematically working towards make their game as terrible as possible with the most utterly insane poorly thought out updates conceivable
Oh we’re buffing mechs health
But increasing enemy durable damage to complete negate any sort of improvement that would provide also sentry guns, frvs and bastions aren’t having their health buffed to compensate
Also we’re giving hive guards heavy armour so they’re more heavily armoured than our tanks (but we can’t make a flag buff players you that’s unrealistic the bots can do it tho) also we’re just removing the weakspots from the bot’s tanks

Ah aren’t buffing things they aren’t improving player choice they limit player choice and the same options that we’re great over a year ago are great now and negate all their changes anyway while there are massive parts of the sandbox just rot.

Despite all the flaws with fatshark and there are many issues I have with how they manage this game they do actually occasionally rework things to provide players more options. Unlike the monkey paw hell scape that is ah being outwardly hostile to its players.

chud video done

check check, mouse sense check

usually I did that stuff at the start of a quake 3 match

What is china mad about this time
