The Omnissiah’s Record: Salvation and Sin

Veteran, Using Double Shotty with the swingy knife with bleed on hit and haymaker.
Cloak, learning to use weapon master, and krak grenades.
Trying my hand at this. Open to pointers.
Please note: there was a point where I held still. I had IRL aggro for a moment.

My one bit of advice would be, dont be afraid to use the normal single shot on the double shotgun (for smaller targets etc ofc). Its got decent range and still does the damage.

I feel like you could be more liberal with your ability use. There are long stretches of time in levels where your ability is at 2/2 and you could use it to reposition from awful situations or kill key targets.

4:10 type of density fighting with a knife can be really risky if you are not 100% confident in your ability, realistically you should have died in that 4:13 slam but yellow HP saved you. Its ok to give ground in situations like that and pick out more spread out targets instead.

As above already said, there are plenty of times where single shot would have been enough and even preferable.

I guess there could also be something said about positioning like, 22:16 you really don’t want to be here when the horde sound drops and especially after you see what comes around that corner. At no point do you even check what is behind you so you are just presuming its safe until your ogryn goes down. Its honestly kinda lucky that your team even got away from that with just 1 guy going down when there are snipers and other specials in good positions with tons of heavy enemies. Without smite psyker there is no way you could have held that off.

4:10, was making use of the Haymaker blessing and trying to cleave the targets with haymaker.

I never could get a good feel on what that works well for. Though, the idea is to kill specialists (or multiple) with one attack and get the faster reload)

I actually don’t think I heard the horde sound. I barely heard it watching the video. You’ll notice that I did start backing up.

My thinking was that what was in front was far more worrisome than what was behind me. Provided I stay focused on what’s in front, I have to trust that my teammates (the two most rear) will keep an eye on the back, whoever they are. Keep doing double shots for faster reload, use cloak so I can dump the aggro but stay with the team and keep putting down enemies. Ogry goes down, then get’s KO’d. I stop what I am doing and change tactics. I switch to help the ogryn, he’s already being helped, switch back to helping the psyker pick up the slack that I left behind.

got another C I VI

and this time i pulled off what i could without popping an aneurysm.

maybe it was the mix of sugar and caffeine, maybe the red/blue pavlov sm2 fireworks the 2 hours prior tuned up reflexes.

taking 6 weeks off to finally “live again” did wonders on my performance as well.

but boy did it feel good to be 20 again.

at the same time i really hated how the game and according hardware came 24 years to late and now i gotta waste my time paying bills instead of being my peak 24/7.

turn back the clock again with todays media and i definately try streaming full time instead

I feel that keenly.

Wow, you actually attack pretty fast with that pickaxe… Oh man, you had one of those “Smite the small group of enemies” psykers… (in the first five minutes)… gonna continue watching this, but I need to post another thread about something I noticed as psyker…

Heresy, or salvation?

Is this how you’re supposed to play Veteran against Plague Ogryn? Wait for the grenades and just jump back and forth over a window?

Don’t ask me about the Vtuber, I’m not at all fond of them. I was surprised that they had a Darktide video so I checked it out.

I apologize in advance…

There is a window of opportunity where, if you go into melee range, he will perform his vertical attack, which you can easily dodge by stepping backward before moving back into melee range to trigger either this attack again or his kick. In the end, you can lock him into these two animations where he stays in place, and you can easily dodge his attacks. If he happens to trigger his three consecutive attacks, you block them, then repeat the same process by closing in to melee range.

Sorry the editing is so choppy; first time (editing). I hope you enjoy! (I know I did)
