I will say this pretty much encapsulates most of what I was going to suggest. I literally had the same penance idea so don’t say I copied you lol.
I will steal the competition idea tho. I didn’t think of that.

In regards to guilds, gangs or cells would better fit the theme of the game. Gangs if we stay convicts, cells if we are actually members of the Imperium again.

I am not stating that at to what they should be called, merely the idea. When you say “guild” or “clan” in the context of a video game pretty much everyone knows the basic concepts of what you’re talking about.
I talk a little bit what they should be called at the start of the post I’m writing, but I refer to them as Guilds throughout the post just to make it simple.

The only question is would that separate Level 1-29s from Level 30s? Y’know, something to truly make you feel like you’re ACTUALLY a part of the Inquisitorial Warband. Going from a Gang to a Cell or something.

It started off as my friend sending me my current profile picture because “haha I found you when you had blue hair”, then the prison one… and from there it kinda just spiralled out of control.
So I use these images to communicate more effectively… for visual learners!

Oh, I also have this one that I’m saving for when I’m on lunch breaks! It’s not the same person, but it’ll do.
For more context, a friend of mine had red hair while I had blue hair and we still poke fun at each other. I send her pictures of fire engines and she sends me pictures of women with blue hair doing random stuff.

I think that the main reason for the “different tone” between the Crafting and Mourningstar Memorials is the differing levels of urgency. The Crafting Memorial needs to be made obsolete ASAP whilst the Mourningstar Memorial is something that can be put on the back burner until that day comes.
