It’s definitely up there. Finally I can make the yellow dot go away.

They broke the mods and I’m (hopefully) quitting the game.

Of course mods would break for a few days until updated. The patch changes almost everything around. You hopefully didn’t expect mods to be worked around by the game devs?
Nobody in the industry does that, it’s impossible to do.

To be fair, a lot of mods still work fine.
For example:

HubHotkeys
CreatureSpawner
Healthbars
Debuff Indicator
MyFavorites
NumericUi
PenanceDetails
PlayerOutlines
CustomHud
Scoreboard
TruePeril
…

Best thing about the patch is people whining about the balance. It’s best time to challenge other’s perception of how the game works, learn and improve.

Yeah…
I was looking at the ogryn ranged ult and initially thought “oh crap. well that is overpowered. by noon, we will be swarmed by gun ogryn.”.
Then i crafted a pure melee build and now my big boy can 2 shot every single non boss enemy with his shovel, while being basically immortal as long as he does not get disablered.

Many things are powerful. People just have to find out that this is the case, and then learn how to make use of that power.

As usual, many players will blame outstanding performances on things being “overpowered” instead of their own lack of skill.
On top of not considering personal skill, players now also have a lack of understanding of the new skill trees.

Ogryn skullbreaker can have bleeds, like a built in 40% thrust and numerous other crazy survivability and damage to everything now. It is literally insane and they should have definitely pulled 2 magazines off the Ripper if they’re going all in on this much melee power.

My clubs are forgotten though, shovel reigns supreme. Also Mk4 knife with working headshots this reversed light order with a new sweep attack. It actually deals with elites pretty well.

I love what they did to the ogryn. Finally a skullbreaker really breaks skulls.
Also I’m loving how hordes have now more elites mixed in to it making them much more interesting. There is so much in this patch that it feels almost like a new game, this is how the game should have been released one year ago, it wouldn’t have lost so many players like it did.

Yes it really feels great.

It just bothers me that they have been so stubborn regarding the crafting system.
Especially now with so many balance changes, they should have removed many of the restrictions.
But at least, the power difference between “good and bad” blessings has been reduced. This means that not getting what you want, is usually not as huge of a power difference as it was before, but you still can not get what you want. Since the power difference has been reduced anyway, i really do not get why they still stick with the locks.

What better time to rework such a system, than right before the xbox release and in combination with an other massive and highly anticipated update?

Are you trying to tell me that people shouldn’t be upset that stuff got nerfed in a gacha experience? That better not be your point cuz that’s a straight “speech level 0”-moment right there.

Now I have to reaqcuire a whole bunch of gear because the breakpoints were shifted around and I can’t just reroll my gear to adapt to the changes…

Nobody likes their progress being wiped with a balance patch and it’s understandable, even for a non-gacha but downright unacceptable for a gacha.

i thought gacha reffered to loot box’s and those trash mobile weeabo games where you bought random bundles hoping to get the hero you wanted?

i have been focused on trying the stuff that goot huge boosts , i did notice power sword and heavy stubber took some slight and imo needed nerfage, are they the problem?

You’d not be the first to think that that’s what it means but you’d be dead wrong.

Any nerfs in a gacha experience is unacceptable, warrented or not.

The creators of the game understand full well what system they are pushing on us and are actively ignoring our feedback regarding the dogsh!t crafting / itemization while giving us a diffferent BS reason each time they chose to respond to the topic. There is this unwritten understanding in a gacha experience in which the devs get to make whatever dogsh!t system they want us to waste our time in while we get to have our wasted time (our investment) honored and not get nerfed.

Usually this aspect of the game is monetised (and FS even tried to monetise is but backpeddelt) but irrespective of whether we had to spend money on it, they lose the right to nerf stuff freely when they decided to make and all gambling (aka gacha) progression / gear system.
They expect us to grind and waste all of this time for the gear and then to be fine with it when they toss it all out of the window with a new balance patch.

I don’t know about you but I’m not here for having my time investments sh!t on repeatedly, for no reason other than to make their shareholders a pretty statistic.

100% agreed, it’s still a major flaw in the game. Lowering the “power” difference between the tiers and the possibility to “choose” what to lock gives a higher chance of not completely bricking a weapon, but still, it’s frustrating to not be able to choose what you want to run.

so random loot is gacha?

no , i quite agree , if i felt that i wouldnt be here. i feel the exact opposite i love this game i did before this patch and this patch is amassive huge almost overhaul level improvement i got for free and has easily guarenteed hundreds of hours more fun out of my ÂŁ30 investment .

what i really dont understand is how this poor performance your experiencing is a deliberate move to make money, the player numbers have been real low for the past year seems to me they would of made a lot more money sold a lot more cosmetics and games if they had pleased everyone and released a good crafting system.

how does your view make sense?

im not defending the crafting system its pretty bad , i dont think its still the huge issue it was but its definitely not good.

Trying to figure out how to compartmentalize the answer.

While I was not trying to make that point, I do stand with that opinion.

My point was that I get to learn new stuff from people countering whiners and can look forward to experimenting with that stuff once I can get my hands on some free time and energy to play the game.

As for your assumed point, I have no sympathy for gacha participants who expect positive outcome. With Fatshark’s track record, if you willingly participate in the “crafting” system and expected anything else, it’s only on you.

*Note, “you” in this instance does not specifially mean you @BFCInsomnia . However, if you do hold those views, it can include you.

Doesn’t mean I like the current system, I’ve not changed my mind not liking it since the preview of it. I just don’t cry over spilt milk due to participating in crap system and find it amusing that some do.

Oh no, until it’s not in this game as it is, crafting system will be THE biggest issue with the game.

Is there much of a choice other than to participate? Unless by participate, you mean get deeply invested in.

(I say this coming from the position of “Crafting has not been a negative experience for me”, I have not unlocked all blessings of interest to me, but it’s never been an impediment to me enjoying the game)

At this point, I’ve just chosen to mentally scrub “gacha game, gacha rules” posts (sorry)

Main one, is not to play at all. Uninstall the game.

Sub choices would be not participating in highest order of gatcha and basically only use store bought stuff (Melk stuff included) thinking it’s good enough.

And as you say, don’t get invested. “Eh, good enough” is what’s best you should expect.
