What do they mean!? Central one is Chaos but what about the others!? top left seems like the Skaven from VT2 but is it reused in 40k? top right also reminds me of… Sienna i think?
Also, Darktide symbol is in-game universe for Tertium? Twin spires over mankind’s Skull, 4 teeth of the political houses, perhaps three verticle lines for prior cities merging into one and wings of the Aquilla for Imperium of Mankind?
From the Dark Tongue list it does most closely resemble Horns & Moronic… but just very much more matches vermintide’s Skaven or Horned Rat symbol… just can’t find anything in 40k…
Its more of the symbol of the Skaven Chaos God and then Skaven adopted, who’s similar to nurgle’s themes so I’d more imagine it has different but similar meaning in 40K, but its just fun to think of space Skaven…perhaps the horned rat exists in some form in 40K as other chaos gods but since its not worshiped by a large faction practically non-existent… there’s also goofy lore about Fantasy summoning a space marine into their universe.
Sefoni’s Tatoos are similar to DH with crossed out symbols on legs/arms…maybe negated symbols? Inquisitional / Psyker symbols head/chest similar to Nurgle/Chaos symbols DH variants. Also to note wrist / ankle chain exist but broken/freed?
Dang it false flag… some look so similar to Mortis Trial Symbols…just my VT2 symbol part of Warhammer Fantasy, wheel of “Winds of Magic”… now to figure out what it means..
On that script there is one symbol I had not found any known meaning for.
With notes that the Encroaching Ruin will be the domain that the Emperor will coalesce into in the future of the 40k setting (though won’t happen unless GW decide on doing a full reset of the setting à la End Time
Yah i was watchin a video on theoretical chaos gods of 8 total maybe 9th in central… as chaos is more emotionally really just seems whatever figure embodies it most rat or otherwise…
WHAT!!! this 3yr old interview had this tacked onto the end!!! what is this thing he speaks of a Skaven 40k… he was constantly trying to pull a yes for space marines whole interview but that look at the end makes me think it “no” but was a possibility at launch… GW tho… is the best thing i have to explain those marks -.-
I do want to point that for this specific interview, one of the CM did say to disreguard it cause the Devs had given quite a few wrong informations due to not understanding the question very well, and them coming too fast.
You don’t happen to have that source? I totally believe it, the earlier questions they were quite confused in terms and interviewer was really trying to get YES on anything space marine
So the quickfire weapon questions were hit and miss on our part in regards to the accuracy of the answers, so take those with a few pinches of salt. Outside of the absurd, we have a really long list of really cool weapons, including almost all those asked about in the interview, on our wishlist, and some are of course on the line up for launch. Once we have the full range of items fully ready to go (barring tweaks/balance etc) we’ll let you know what’s going to be available.
The Chaos images are just Symbols of Ruin and Decay from my PoV. I wouldn’t take the symbols anything other than face value chaos marks, graffiti, odd scratching’s, warp markings or other artistic expression from delusional heretics.
I would like if these markings trembled with the warp or shuttered when looked at from time to time. The warp watching you with unknown eyes is very unsettling. Think Eishenhorn (Xenos) and Cherubael haunting his dreams before he understands what it means.
Seeing how Dan Abnett helped create the narrative it is interesting re-reading these books, it just makes me want a Dan Abnett Darktide Series so bad!
I take the symbols with a grain of salt unless they are specifically showcased in a reveal trailer or story cutscene, or thrown in our face during the end of a new missions on Intel we are told to pick up COUGH GSC.
