Update: This appears to be a Psychanium specific bug, as the expected attack speed increase is visually apparent in a live mission. I believe the talent still merits investigation.
The text on the Hive Scum Swift Endurance talent reads:
“+2% increased Melee Attack Speed for each current Stamina.”
Equipping any number of +3 stamina curios, or adding a +2 Stamina Perk to a weapon does not yield an increase of visible attack speed or expected dps increase as tested with the CombatStats tracking mod.
I ran many sequences with no buffs and the talent selected, and saw no significant difference in average dps between all +3 stamina curios equipped vs all Toughness or another type of curio equipped.
If this talent is not intended to improve based on equipped stamina, then the tooltip is incorrect and misleading (leading a number of players to incorrectly choose perks and curios in an erroneous attempt to increase attack speed).
If it is intended to increase attack speed per point of stamina, then the talent isn’t functioning correctly.
I ran a number of tests trying every combination of curios and the results consistently indicated that this talent does not increase attack speed per point of Stamina, but instead based on how much stamina remains in the character’s stamina bar in combat.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Enter psychanium as a Hive Scum with the Swift Endurance talent selected.
Equip a melee weapon such as Shivs or Tactical Axe. Attack the crusher with repeated light hits. When curios are exchanged between all +3 stamina curios of 410 or higher power, or any other curio, there is no substantial difference in dps output, as would be expected if each point of stamina were granting an addition 2% of attack speed as indicated by the talent text. (make sure to allow passive buffs such as Adrenaline to drop between sequences so as to not throw off results, or refrain from talenting them)
