Survivalist Aura need change

it have 5 second cooldown , so the better and faster u kill the more punishment u get.

The better Veteran u are kill in 5 sec, the LESS ammo u get ? why ? u hate good player?

If u scare to be too Overpowered , just make it replenish ammo on “only HeadShot”

Well it’s to make sure you can’t really have infinite ammo unless you heavily invest into it

Headshot only would ruin weapons like autoguns from being good on vet

Yeah we seem to be long past the point of “preventing” infinite ammo… but it is an team aura… Even vet has the free ammo on Laz crit, essentially giving them infinite ammo with Helbore or standard laz without the Aura.

…pick pocket is probably the issue an easy mechanic to maintain ammo on any weapon… Should probably be…

Yea sure, don’t give the team infinite ammo, I’m game.
But whatabout the Veteran itself? Because let’s be real, vet’s main profile is ranged damage, and you need ammo for that.

Yah I’m not sure… maybe some new talent adjecent to the laz infinite ammo for bullet based weapons… not sure how that would look maybe… like Scavenger from VT2 based on headshots?

…or the melee vet tree basically same as pick pocket -.- only so many ideas…oh add to always prepared and just remove from reserve text… I’m sure more ideas could come…

Survivalist changed for a reason Fathshark has managed to forget when designing Hive Scum. It removed ammo as a resource to manage.

That’s a bit redundant, you just change the talent to:

Critical Hits with ranged weapons consume no Ammo.

Not saying the shock trooper talent should be changed that way, but there is a solution that requires no new talent :wink:

the problem is at havoc level 1% is just fine, its the lower level guys that get screwed over

I think the only rational would be they don’t want team infinite ammo vs class infinite ammo.

..still i prefer the melee oriented game play with some range, ammo as a resource to be managed than pew pew spamming or grenades wizz booming all match -.-

Yea, but pickpocket needs nerfs.

Right now the aura can proc off any elite or specialist kill regardless of whether the person doing the killing is in coherency or not. If someone gets an elite or specialist kill and isn’t in coherency, you get the cooldown but no ammo lol.

I don’t like that you either take survivalist or you already have a veteran running survivalist, then you choose one of the other auras. The solution I would be in favor of would just be turning survivalist into a normal passive node and replacing it with some generic aura, maybe reload speed or something. This would make it not affect the team as a whole, bringing player power down a little bit (in terms of ammo economy) and allowing fatshark to adjust it without overarching balance consequences.

Sucks for brauto and any other non crit/finesse weapons. Very inelegant solution ultra rewarding crits and finesse even further than they already are.

We could do so so much better than that.

That would be awesome, huge game changer… so it won’t happen.

Especially since so many weapons have the surgical blessing.
