They are extremely lacking in my opinion, I like to go crit per target hit + cleave on crit route, just to mag dump into hordes and see them disintegrate, but I don’t know man, the combination of reload time, damage, and the time it takes to load in a special shell, just make the shotguns not worth it.
General suggestions for all shotguns:
1- Reduce reload time.
2- Greatly reduce the time it take to load in a special shell, making it available on reaction (maybe even replace the animation with a simple and fast pump to change the ammo type), OR using the special shell now replaces all the shells currently in mag with special shells, using special action again will return the shells to normal.
3- Increase non weakspot/crit damage while maintaining the current weakspot/crit damage profiles, I believe accuracy with shotguns should be limited to aiming to the center of mass, feels more in theme and it will make the shotguns feel unique.
My suggestion for each shotgun:
1- Zarona (the blue one): Increased cleave on newly infected and pox walkers (currently pellets penetrate 1 newly infected, and 0 pox walkers), for better hoard clearing, slightly tighter aimed pellet spread, making the Zarona the middle ground between the other two.
2- Accatra (the brown one): Increased flak armor damage, slightly increased cleave, and higher pellet count with higher spread, close range hard hitter as it should be.
3- Agripinaa (green): Reduce recoil/aim recenter time, helps with taking out multiple targets at range, also greatly increase slug damage against carapace.
