Solutions to Zealot's "Healing Issues"

Being better than the 2H Hammer is not a high bar. The Flail’s mobility is mediocre.

I get that FK is impactful. However, dps is also useful. FK’s dps is poor. FK is a babysitter. I could go in a game right now as Zealot and carry the entire match with way more ease than as FK. That doesn’t take thousands of hours.

If your team isn’t dealing enough damage but already has decent CC, then Zealot is going to be better than FK and vice-versa. It’s obvious though that Zealot can easily have more overall impact than FK in the hands of any capable Cata player. There’s no wall of denial here.

I didn’t say its damage should be buffed. Besides, it’s literally on par with the 1h Axe for dps, an exclusively single target weapon. I don’t think many if any would complain. Is any weapon that deals mild damage and is safe op?

Do you know of Renald’s Gift? It’s helpful for checking these things.

I don’t recall saying dps was the only useful thing. It’s not hard to imagine FK receiving utility buffs or quality of life buffs, like no aimpunch while charging. That’s what a lot of the previous talent balance for FK focused on, like It’s Hero Time, Battering-Ram etc. A while back I expressed interest in a 15% stagger power passive or a 25% stagger cleave passive for example. I’m not saying these are things that should happen, but if FK were to be buffed it certainly wouldn’t have to be through dps buffs.

Besides, even for WHC, a dps career, there’s debates about Unending Hunt’s utility vs Fervency’s raw dps and which is more useful. There’s more to the meta careers than just raw damage.

I don’t want Zealot to be nerfed massively. I may have missed some ideas in the thread, but from what I’ve read I think alsozara’s idea of making Fiery Faith melee only and my own idea:

Would fix the green thp issue, and be a small but reasonable nerf to Zealot that doesn’t impede Zealot’s melee flow (which is why we play Zealot right?).
