The developers have already mentioned that they are currently working on solo mode and working out some issues with it before its release. The question I have (to anyone’s knowledge) is if the solo mode will have offline support upon its release? Just wondering if players would be able to play solo without internet connection.

AFAIK DT has always been announced as an “always online” deal.
Many aspects are handled by the servers and that’s where our saves are stored. No reason that’s going to change.
As for the Solo mode, I’m sure many of us would appreciate an update on the progress.
It’s been confirmed for December but development might not go exactly as planned.
I’m sure the bots AI must be difficult to get right/decent/serviceable, but I really hope we’ll at least get a first version before the end of the month (but that’s extremely very unlikely to happen 
).
Solo play is in its final stages of testing as we fix the last issues that remain. We aim to release this at Launch. If not, a patch shortly after that in December.
