You know, I actually play champion with bots only sometimes when Im bored and my friends are not around. Its not the easiest thing in the world, but its definitely winnable and not just by sheer luck. Hes got a good point when he says that the bots are better than some players. Id go so far as to say that the bots are better than most players. The amount of times Ive seen my team die to stupid stuff, wipe because everyone was too spread out or we all got kicked in the bum because one guy dawdled for 2h and then got grabbed in the middle of a horde and the entire team scrambled to try n save him.
Whats important with the bots is that you take good care of them. Theyre in combat? Help em. Theyre on low health and youre not? Share your heals with them. Make sure they dont fall behind, as they got this tendency to get stuck fighting a single clanrat. You need to pay attention at what theyre doing and what your surroundings are like and your bots will definitely repay you in kind by killing that one annoying special you couldnt get or getting you up in the middle of a boss fight etc. Just need to keep them alive and thats on YOU, the sapient being with the ability of foresight and (hopefully) reasonable judgement, not the bots.
It also helps to give them items, as the host decides what they carry around with them. Even if you dont play them and dont have much gear for them. Trinkets, necklaces etc are all universal and can be used for all characters. Getting the bots power level up without even having to change their vanilla weapons can also go a long way in helping you out in the long run.
So address the dev’s about where you think the situation falls. Don’t address me. You are still failing to realize this is a feedback thread. Not your personal I don’t agree so I’ll cut you down thread. I couldn’t care less what you think, because everything is subjective. We provide feedback, they decide. At no point do you need to address me. GET IT?
sorry if you took things personally, i like to try and cover all angles and if i feel that an argument is presented without taking different skill levels into consideration, i will speak up.
Not to be an ass or anything but what do you expect ppl to do? You started this thread. Is it really so far fetched to think that ppl would base their replies off of your OP? This is the feedback section after all. If you post feedback, which you can ofc do about anything, and ppl dont agree with your view on any given subject, then of course they will write their opinion down and naturally compare it to yours. Some of them might even hope for a good discussion where both parties might benefit from the others point of view and maybe even learn something.
At any rate, if you dont want ppl to respond to you, then whats your goal with this? Write a rant and let it sink into oblivion as other threads shove it aside to the second, third etc page of the forums with their own posts? Or do you expect to only see ppl agreeing with you, with this thread ultimately descending into the ultimate circlejerk where everyone agrees with each other? That wouldnt be much of a discussion and dare I say would likely not end up being very productive feedback in the end.
I really dont understand what youre getting at here if you dont wanna discuss with ppl.
I provided my feedback to the dev’s. You can provide your own viewpoint and feedback. At no point, do we need to speak to each other. This isn’t a persuasive piece. Nobody’s view needs to change or be looked at from the perspective of another person’s. Our feedback has value because it reflects our own individual viewpoint nestled in our worldview. I could be a 50 year old man, with 7 kids, you could be younger then the youngest amoung them and a pro gamer the likes of shroud or something. We would NEVER agree. YET, our feedback is both equally valuable. There is no right or wrong in subjectivity. I wanted my voice heard. It has been. There is no debate or cause for one. I’m honestly sorry you find that so alien a concept.
Hardly, I ground up all the champions to 15+ and geared them out. I can do champion no problem solo. I spent way too much time figuring that out, and then doing it. I think it’s a crap way to make a game, and I stand by that. There is nothing intuitive, fun or challenging in that game play. Honestly, the tedium of it put me off the game as a whole. THAT, is why I decided to leave some feedback. The people trolling me and telling me to gitgud, are pathetic souls who need to fill their empty hearts by attacking others. It’s beyond pathetic. I wont be reading any replies, as I’m now playing sea of thieves and have left this game behind.
I think the easiest improvement would be letting us choose bots.
Also known as “exclude Sienna”, because seriously, she’s the worst bot. I’d be perfectly happy if I could guaranteed bring Merc Kruber and Ironbreaker Bardin all the time.
vermintide isn’t designed to be a single player experience. the bots are placed in as a way to pacify players who can’t play with others for whatever reason, but it certainly is not the intended game design.
if you wanted a single player experience, maybe you should try things like call of duty, they normally have a single player campaign. multiplayer is just an option.
i have reread through all replies. no one was actually personally attacking you - every comment given was constructive criticism with helpful comments on how you can improve. but you chose to take it personally and attack almost everyone who disagreed with you.
adieu, hope you find your peace in other games. we’ve tried to be civil here but you’re not accepting it.
The QoL mod in vt1 did just that. it was lovely. I hope they update it soon for vt2
Unchained Sienna is one of the strongest bots, dude. Take get 20% health talent and use a necklace with 20% hp, combined with her career trait and her damage reduction buff on revived characters she is a real asset during Bot-Mode.
Of course, you give up a sniper but Kerillian and you should be taking care of that.
