So you're denying Consoles Versus, that sucks. But did you have to RUB it in our faces in such a condescending way by placing the eye sore elevator right in the middle of the keep?!

Seriously. Dude. wth.

Did that need to be there if we’re not going to have access to the Versus game mode to begin with??

If it’s just a little crack in the wall like the Weaves shortcut I wouldn’t mind. But you literally blocked off an entire walk way and over-crowded the middle of the player hub just to remind us you’re wasting development time and budget on a feature that we will never benefit from.

Yeah…that really felt like a total slap in the face to console players…and the tiny “keep out” sign…the whole thing feels mocking and condescending…just patch the whole thing out on console and make it a hallway…why be a-holes about it and put the entire elevator and setup there for a game mode we will NEVER GET and just slap a little “keep out” sign on the…ugh. its also right next to the mission board…

And now they are releasing half-assd cosmetics and not fixing bugs, just because they are wasting so much time fixing Versus sht and promoting it. Congratulations Fatshark!

Apologies if the inclusion of these bits feel out of place or even offensive to you guys, the intention was not to mock console players at all!

For the sake of smooth development, we try to keep the differences between the console and PC versions of the game to a minimum. Even though console has no use for this elevator, the changes to the Keep layout had to be done to make both keeps identical and avoid any potential future issues.

Thanks for the explanation.

But there had to have been a less intrusive and ugly way to go about this.

Why not in both PC and console, make the entrance to PVP-land be a tiny porthole on the ground like a sewer entrance? Or make it a crack on the wall just like you did with weaves shortcut? This is literally blocking off an entire walkway in the keep and quite frankly pretty ugly.

I bet even atleast a few PC players probably didn’t like that giant elevator clogging the middle up.

“clogging the middle up” seems a bit extreme. I didn’t even notice it for awhile :joy: are you spending a lot of time doing something in the keep that it’s an issue?

This isn’t going to be popular but I’m going to say it anyways.

This isn’t a real issue and most people would understand that the “keep out” sign isn’t supposed to be offensive and won’t be offended by it.

This seems like the sorta thing you’d get recreationally angry about.

All that being said, I can fully empathise with console players not getting versus feeling terrible. That sucks, straight up. Has it been explained why consoles won’t be getting versus anywhere? I’d be curious to know myself.

In 1670+ hours have I never seen anyone complain about the fact that they couldn’t go past the mission book on the right. I can’t speek for everyone and chances are that there is somebody but I would never have seen it. I never thought of that being an issue myself.

I think what OP was trying to say is that it’s a bit of an eyesore, and I agree. There was an elevator downstairs near the Bridge of Shadows that would have fit perfectly, and what I honestly expected to be the Versus entrance, so the keep being even more structurally unsound just so it can sit next to Chaos Wastes was a surpirse and a bummer to me.

Fair enough, I hardly notice that it’s there and it certainly doesn’t get in the way of any relevant pathing.

I understand why it’s there and not all the way around though. It’s much more direct and faster to walk there.

It’s faster still to use the menu buttons but oh well.
I’m not against any positive changes, it’s just not really an issue, is it?

OMG, thanks for introducing me to this term. I expect to use it a lot now :joy:

Instead of the “Keep out” sign you could have just placed a fake wall to cover the elevator entirely, though. If it’s done well enough, it will be less of an eyesore, or insulting, while still being a single object difference compared to the PC version.

I think “Out of Service” might have been better
