Fix was today but that ridiculous number was not adjusted. They even aknowledjed that in bugs topics and still not fix that. Also 250k tech remnants is ridiculous number too.

A good trick to use up leftover scrap after buying what you want is to stand next to the ammo bin and shoot-dip-shoot-dip until you have no scrap left. Maximises progress with the scrap trading.
Yeah I spend around 800 salvage a game making sure to spend everything on the last exit. The unused salvage zones on the map are usually full of the stuff, so if you remember where they are you can weave some short detours in and end up with an extra 200 or so to spend.
Its also worth noting that these penances will become extremely tedious in the long term, if people decide to move on from expeditions. If someone wants to do the penances, but can’t find quickplay groups to play with, then thats going to be a pretty rough time.
I have some Mortis Trials penances I still want to do, but there is almost no one playing them and trying to solo them is quite unpleasant. Expeditions could end up the same way.
Or buy stuff for others, if they have no items OR for them to choose alternatives.
There’s a penance for trading scrap? That explains why I see people wasting their scrap now…Fatshark at it again with penances that incentivize bad gameplay.

To be honest you can’t even finish all the penances until they refresh and give you another map to get all the nodes on. So whatever you do you may want to pace yourself based on that anyways. And as far as I can see you may as well do malice.

Pro trader is definitely not in line with the other penances.
I do spend every last scrap, to the point of just emptying clips/tossing mines in the last sanctuary. The amount should be reduced to 25000, hell 40k if you wanna go for the reference.
It’s also weird to me that the objective is gathering remnants, but we get more penances for trading salvage
I mean there’s a penance for expeditions about players dying.
