silly gripe: 18 nodes have to be unlocked. yall rotating them annually? granted i still am trying to grind for the 250k just would have liked to do it at the same time. Expeditions isn’t dynamic enough for you guys to just sit back for months without something said.
Its been 3 weeks, gotta balance with the non rejects. The pants are 2 grid refreshes away anyway, so yeah it will be a while before you get them. But they will change the grid over time…I bet Skulls or sooner.
At this point, I’m starting to believe every time we ask something, they double down on silence. Either out of spite, or asking itself is the insult that caused them to turtle shell as they do now.
How could you have absolutely nothing to say to even those that like expeditions after the reception it received?
Some of the Expedition penances are so ridiculously designed, I have to wonder if FS genuinely bought into it’s own hype. 250k tech remnants is grindy enough, but the 100k salvage is beyond the pale - Especially when the things you can buy are so limited that players are actively trying to blow up the sanctuary with their nades just so they can spend their extra salvage.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they retroactively reduced penance requirements like they did with the Skull Hoarder one.
I don’t know the answer, but if I had to guess: expeditions are not yet finished and will get more content, and that’s for their marketing to figure out, but until then Community folks can’t really talk about anything.
And the next update is Skulls, so we might hear something more about that in short time prior to Skulls.
That’s not to say it’s odd to have a reward bracket locked behind an impossible requirement, with no remediation for it. Either they’d planned to release more expeditions stuff but decided to postpone it, and/or the penance amount wasn’t adjusted to match what was prepared for the last patch. Or maybe there will be a rotation with new mods soon enough - who’s to say?
Them, They should say. this mode is kind of Boring with no rotators … dogs, tornados (that are malicious btw). i get the most excitement running around the night map and nearly falling to my death with the cliff edges you can’t see. lack of more tech remnants in harder difficulties . be cool if one of the rotators was pack master who didn’t die like a absolute after thought, was following you like a resident evil boss. ( picture pack master smoke grenade escape ) a pack master hide out where you can actually square up. cause right now feels pointless and disconnected.
just cause you can, doesn’t mean you should. without a point there is only cosmetics. egregiously high required cosmetics. Salvage lord is going to be synonymous with life in prison.
It’s more so a rhetorical question - I have no clue why the comms are as good as dead on the matter and I certainly don’t want to cling onto hope. I do concur this should be addressed, but knowing the tendency we’d been experiencing, it probably won’t be.
I get it that they can’t say how frequently, but why mention it in the first place, if there is no information that can be announced about keeping any schedule on this? It only builds up expectations that will eventually lead to further disappointment.
It’s done on purpose to keep the… let’s say it softly dedicated players grinding. Fatshark has this stupid “all in” policy, they know that most of the playerbase will stop playing after a short period (easily proved by steam charts by player “churn” after each major update), while the minority will endlessly grind so they could show the “retention” numbers to the shareholders.
The same happened when the crafting was an absolute garbage with locks and stuff, many players disliked, but it kept the minority grinding.
not like that modifier will affect anything with the radar mod cheese. though to be fair that is the game mode, picking up breadcrumbs. they should try a modifier where tied up players are held by patrols with bosses. and change hunting grounds. get rid of little pox puppies. double boss spawns and have only packmasters spawn, with twins hard mode esque stagger resistance and more dogs per attack.
