I think that respawning enemies into static locations ahead of the player, IF the player out distances mobs is an idea.
Alternatively a new type of special could be spawned - the longer it remains “unengaged” the faster/stronger it becomes.

For what it’s worth VT2 had this pretty much solved via boss walls. Areas walled off when a boss spawned, so you HAD to fight the boss which created a significant enough roadblock for stuff to catch up with speedrunners and forces them to engage. It’s still not perfect though, I think a working implementation for Darktide would be something like putting up such walls as the spawn cap is hit. That would effectively kill the spawn cap mechanic abuse.
It might create other issues though I can’t think of any right now

And you include more than esp mods. By example spidey sense is a visual transcription of an information you have in game. So, it doesn’t reveal an information you don’t have…

As you can see above it’s pretty clear he indirectly tried to get a dig at me because of past posts that are almost a week old now & his dig made absolutely no sense btw, lmao. He’s really working with nothing here. This is how he operates as a sht disturber. Even though he was proven 100% wrong in black & white. He will not let it go, it’s like a goddamn sickness or something. I should’ve been the bigger guy & not responded sure, but I’m not taking that sht. lol. He’s literally getting full posts taken down over his man-child behavior. Usually, I just forgive & forget, but not this guy he keeps on coming back looking for trouble.

It takes the faintest most occluded or obstructed sound through walls, other enemies and gives you a perfect indication of where it is, how far (option) and you can customize the hel out of it so that only the highest threats appear.
If you turn a pin drop into a car horn it absolutely is giving you information you don’t have, hence ESP. It is a radar pure and simple.

Long time player here with 2k+ hours in Darktide (and Vermintide). Here’s how I got to 40 Havoc.
- Did an Auric Malestrom for instant level 16 Havoc.
- Ranked up 1 by 1 until Havoc 33.
- Had difficulty progressing with randoms after that, promoted and demoted a few times.
- A friendly random hosting a level 40 Havoc finally accepted my invite, and we won (Regarding Havoc levels, we won with a 40, 33 (me), 22, and 20).
As a note, all levels past 30+ feel the same to me. Even with a full team of Havoc Forged and True Survivors, sometimes the game just says no, you lose. Map selection is a big thing too (I have immense difficulty with Cladestum Glorianum or w/e on 30+, especially at the start).
I wanted to get to 40 quickly so I could play any Havoc whenever. When I was less than Havoc 35, it felt like I was applying for a job on LinkedIn, not a lot of folks doing 30+ accept anyone who isn’t clad in prestigious titles and Havoc rank.
A big shout-out again to the random who took a chance and accepted me and two other randoms who didn’t appear “ready” :>

That’s interesting, I found that after breaking 30, I was able to get into more matches than I wasn’t. Or maybe I was just playing during times of high activity.

I thought it was interesting too. Even at rank 33, I still felt it wasn’t “enough” for someone at rank 40 to accept me (given all the “declines” I got), but someone eventually did, which I’m thankful for. I’m trying to keep my rank at 40, so I can do the same for others.
Not to sound too hypocritical, but I do vet my teams to a degree too, and the “true level” mod really helps with that, along with ones to inspect teams gear. I do want to help people who seem like they might have a chance haha.
This is certainly a difficulty that adheres a bit more strictly to what people call a “meta”, but I’ve seen a lot of varied builds now that people are becoming more comfortable with it, which is nice

I got my rank40 badge and true survivor title on week 2 of havoc, and since then I’ve been playing low rank missions to get my 100 missions penances.
Finally got those this week so can go back to high rank games. Once I’ve gotten my rank 40 back then I’ll not be too precious about vetting players if I host. As it doesn’t matter too much now I have all the penances done.
Still need a bubble and some sort of gold toughness boost though

I got my “True Survivor” title last Saturday, but it un-completed itself after I logged off and on again Q_Q (currently have a bug report open for it on the forums here).
Out of curiosity, regarding your Havoc rank not being level 40 anymore, do you still have your “Havoc Forged” title to prove you were rank 40, or did the game whisk that away from you too? Also, does it still show your highest achieved rank as 40 (next to your character name), or is it just your current assignment that got reset?
