Ask the poeple that wanted to highlight such stuff, so everyone knows you´re just searching for materials…
We definately need an option to turn it off and to change the appearance / size.

Oh god why did they make it take up so much space!?
To be fair the modded version if this does it fine because it pops up in the top left corner which has no use in the current screen real-estate. I guess sorry for assuming that MAYBE the people doing the UI would have the common sense not to make it obnoxious since someone else already did it properly?

Just a joke tbh… i´m fine if such stuff is in the game, especially if we might get more materials or even random loot (weapons / guides to unlock blessings, etc…) in the future. It could show books aswell so…
But yes, the place is crap, the size is crap etc… we need options to tweak and to turn it off.
Their UI designer is that incompetent or malicious.

i’ve mitigated the damage by setting the UI scale to 85%, but i still didn’t want to have to do this

Something that large should be reserved for things like Books and objective pickups, See the mod for how common pickups should be handled.
Reporting back and yeah it’s worse than i originally thought.
I think what gets me is that they thought it would be a good idea to add a chime for Every. Single. Pickup.
This is is a game where you can pick up like 800 plasteel in a game and they thought this was a good idea. After one match i never want to pick up a resource drop again.

I haven’t even played yet and i can say from that picture alone that “screw this”. It should have at bare minimun a TOGGLE option if its going to stay.
At least the mod makers understood to make it small as possible.

Can we please get a toggle to truncate the material pickup prompt? Something like <Name> <material icon> instead of the full <name> found <material name><material icon>.
my first impression was like “very nice” and after a few games it started to be annoying and unnecessary.
This ss is an example of how much it bothers.
