One thing I want to add here: Fatshark’s recent decision to buff Crusher HP is a good example of how indirect changes can reinforce the meta without technically being “nerfs.”
Before the HP buff, you could at least run a full DPS comp, it was risky, but it felt fun and viable. Now that risk/reward dynamic is gone, and the game pushes everyone into the same meta ultra safe loadouts. That’s not healthy balance; it’s just narrowing the sandbox.
This is exactly why the “nerf everything” mindset is harmful. Even if FS tries to appease that crowd indirectly, the end result is less diversity and more frustration. Nobody enjoys being stuck in a Crusher meta. Balance should be about expanding choices, not narrowing them.
