Server Error when opening Chests

Opening (multiple) Chests causes Server Error (Backend Error). I opened around 50 chests, and it happened 3 times. Seems not to depend on the type of chest opened.

The error occurs directly after clicking on open before the loot is displayed.

Yes, but I haven’t tried disabling them

@morgentau, this can often occur if too many requests are sent to the backend in a short time. e.g. spam opening chests or re-rolling traits etc.

If the issue persists, and happens when opening chests at a casual rate then please let me know and we’ll investigate.

I tried again, opening one chest after another, waiting ~4 seconds between opening, and still got the error, after opening 3 Chests.

@morgentau ah I see. It’s possible you may be running into a different issue that we’ve recently found, being caused by a mismatch in how certain chests are stored in backend data.

If you can provide your Steam profile URL e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/id/FatsharkLev/, then I’ll ask one of our backend developers to check this.

Thanks! I’ll update you once I’ve heard back from our backend developers. Likely to be Monday at the earliest when they are back in the office :slight_smile:

@morgentau, one of our backend developers was able to hop on and look at this sooner. They believe they’ve corrected the issue. There was a mismatch in backend data with reward chests (this issue: KNOWN ISSUE: Backend Error Preventing Opening Chests)

Can you please check again and let me know if the issue is resolved?

I opened all my remaining chests, without the error occuring. The problem seems fixed! Thanks for the quick and efficient solving of the problem!
