We’re aware of an issue that can result in a Backend Error when opening chests, which can prevent chests from being opened in some cases.
We’ve identified the cause of the issue and a fix is in the works.

Did a few missions then opened a pack of three Commendation Chests, did another mission, then noticed I still had three, tried to open them and game showed “Backend Error” and forced me to close the game. Restarting game, and uninstalling then reinstalling didn’t help either, have not tried restarting PC (but doubt it would do anything). I can still open more Commendation Chests as long as it isn’t those specific three, I can also open other chests with no other issues.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
- Try to open Commendation Chest (Normal Spawn or in Chaos Wastes spawn)
- “Backend Error” Appears on screen and am forced to quit
Reproduction Rate (Required):

@Deowolf7, our backend developer has been able to repair your account data, so you should be- able to open these chests now. Please let me know if there’s any issue still.

I’m a newbie, and after completing the first quest I get a back-end error when I open a chest, and now I can’t open the case in game

Hi @FatsharkLev, yesterday I reported a problem inventory related, they might be linked?
To be clear, I did not get a backend error, just an inventory full message, but I think that the problem is, once again, that new purchases (hero poses in this case) count towards inventory space and not cosmetics space.
I say this as earlier in the day I was able to open many boxes at a time. It would be great to get a fix for this asap
This Backend Error is a little different, in that some chests are being stored with mismatched data (separate data storage, not inventory itself).
