I don’t know what’s going on at Fatshark, but it’s obvious, none of the performance problems have been addressed. Secrets of the machine god are even worse than the previous Hestia’s Decollation Crusade. First going to Sire Melek to look at offerings took over 3 minutes to display items. That’s an issue, but what is worse is game play. During fights with hoards, the lag and screen refresh is so bad you are guaranteed to die. On an RTX 3080, and i9 12900K CPU and 32GB of memory @6000 along with MSI Afterburner running, frames per second constantly drop from 108 to 18 during battle. Most teammates were going down every minute and most leaving the game in disgust. I was one of them. The game is NOT fun to play whatsoever, and it appears that the priority of Fatshark is monetization not performance and satisfactory player experiences.

FIX THE GAME NOT THE PERKS. PERKS ARE USELESS IF THE GAME IS NOT FUNCTIONAL!

Locked = FPS Set in configuration menu, UNLOCKED = no FPS Restriction.
All games above have highest graphic settings for maximum detail.

This is 100% true. The performance is tanking. I just got frustrated and dipped out. Whether or not Fatshark is prioritizing monetization or not they are SO slow to update or do anything that helps with quality of life features.

i JUST resolved fps issues in this game about a week ago and now this… i guess explosions are what’s causing it as i was in the practice arena with the bolt pistol trying out that close proximity explosive rounds blessing and the game absolutely ate it lol

it really is frustrating having a computer that’s well-above the recommended requirements but having to deal with performance issues pretty much every single update or patch. like, i have never played a game with so many performance issues before.

i’m not sure if this is an issue for everyone but the game is unplayable in its current state. why bother dropping any updates at all if they’re not even play-tested or have any sort of quality control?

You can get a huge fps boost by using this mod if you have a 3080, runs well for me even with an old 9700k CPU.

I disabled the mods but it had no effect at all. HOWEVER, I went to my Darktide steam folder, located and deleted the APPDATA folder, then verified file integrity via steam and the problem was gone completely.
