Scum meh

As I was watching YouTube videos and other content, I feel like I’ve explored the Scum class enough. After a week, I think it lacks depth. Besides, it’s quite simple: even in quickplay, the Scum is less and less present. It gesticulates and moves around a lot, but ultimately its backstabbing is just average and its survivability is low. I see everywhere that it’s incredibly fun, but I find it quite boring and lacking in depth. If I have to have three other people in my group, I don’t think I’d need a Scum. The DPS/survival ratio isn’t interesting right now. This is just my opinion, and it’s only my personal view, but there’s definitely wasted potential, and the beta testing team needs to be reviewed.

Right now I leave the quick play when there is more than 2 scums because I know this will be a wipe. They can’t handle a single sniper they are all dead after a wave of crushers. They need at least a node with a permanent 20% tough or damage resist. All the immunity is great but with the actual director spawn this is not working. Leavers ragequitting is at paroxysme right now. The base health of 150 is too low. We got many probleme about pox toxic mines and actually you are doing we all hate this class. Just doing a lil auric high intensity. 11 dead’s in the average no just no…

That’s wrong in my book (but I don’t deny your experience is different)

Yesterday, did several games with lot of Scums. Last one was very significative. 4 scums. 2 died (I was one of them, I did something incredibly stupid)… but no wipe
Did also a mission, auric histg without any Scum on floor (team of 4)

Players are learning quickly what is working… and what doesn’t

Still prefer a good zealot or anything else scum don’t give anything to the team.

The problem of Zealot, that I played a lot, is that it is VERY forgiven about errors.
You can commit errors that would make you “die” with an other class every 90s…

In term of interest… Scum are for me above. Because, from buffs to buffs they made the zealot totally secure.
You cannot even avoid to take Holy revenant. You’re forced to take it…

Still do best clutch ever with zealot. This is the most balanced class. With the faith background in a role play meaning this is working. I don’t found a place in a team for scum. Doing ok dps low survivality he is not rewarding enough to play a scum

This heavily depends on execution. I agree that the skill floor on HS is higher, but this class can true solo dam histgs, so i wouldn’t state it the way you did.

They have that node above middle keystone. It’s easy to get, usually 2 or 3 point investment.

On all classes

No and you will see they will do a major buff to this class because like I already said they are working with the win rate of a class to balance it. That’s why Arbi got nerfed every update

If i were to guess, they might do adjustments on the crate ult and maybe improve toughness game by introducing new toughness talents and that would be it because they will be working on other classes after the winter holidays.

I remember killing 2 snipers at 50 meters with my dual pistols (in middle of a dreg gunners barrage and while all the teammates found a way to wipe)
Tip: the special permits to have better accuracy. With hip fire and sticky hands, the pistols are really precise.

I am killing snipers with double barrel because i run scattershot flachette, it can be done with minimal effort, but as already told, it depends on player execution and preparation.

That’s exactly my problem, they’ve found a way to make money very quickly. Bam, a new class and it all comes in, but the graphics, sorry, it’s really bad. I have to watch every time I throw a grenade to see the animation and visuals; it’s Super Nintendo quality.

I really don’t like the chem grenade animation with all these explosions…

The flash Grenade animation and fx is the most ridiculous thing I be see these last 10 years of playing

And since we’re on the topic I feel like this class needs 1 additional toughness regen talent, an equivalent of psykers quietude.

I present you my idea:

When reloading your ranged weapon gain 30% toughness over 5 seconds.

Toughness restored is based on % ammo reloaded, so 0 ammo in mag to 100% ammo in mag restores 30% toughness, 50% ammo to 100% ammo restores 15%.

They are doing some decisions but not adjusting. The content to their decisions

Could work for me need more toughness damage resist.

So you don’t penalize players if you got a slow weapon or a quick one this is better for balance

With toughness regen you will be almost better with shivs
