So I main both vet and psyker, when I play as vet I match with all vets, when I play as psyker, I get either all psykers or psyker with ogryns… please fix

At very least there should be an option, such as the private game, which says “Prefer class variety” when searching for games.

What the game does is trying to match people closest to you for a more stable session for all players, and inconveniently these players choose to either level up or gear up classes that you see too often in.
Unfortunately that means it can’t be done without a complete overhaul to the matchmaking system, such an option will inherently slow down your que time in to fill in the missing players, In Darktide each character is their own and thus enable the ability for players to play as the same class compared to Vermintide 1 and 2 where you could only play as any of the 5 pre-made characters, i bet class restrictions were not considered as a preference option during its initial steps of development.
I don’t believe you’re wrong in wanting class restrictions for a more varied experience, if anything it’s a fair argument to have, hopefully something can be done with the matchmaker in the future. Such as having personal preference options such as choosing your difficulty for any mission, class restrictions, join in active sessions browser etc, features of which that are much more easily manage-able if the game was client-side with options for crossplay.
