Rebalance Pass Counter-proposal

Player experience varies widely. I have 700+hrs and mostly play cata. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a Bounty Hunter delete a boss with consecutive ults. You may see it a lot more often in your playtime, perhaps.

I was personally fine with the 60% compromise Fatshark is implementing. I made it 80% largely in response to player feedback (on Reddit as well). Game forums/subreddits/discords etc are skewed toward more hardcore players, so I believe that if hardcore players think rewarding consecutive headshots is fair, then the casual majority who aren’t even posting here would almost certainly prefer not to nerf the boss killers. I don’t disagree with you outright, and I think this is good discussion.

I would argue that the “not hardcore players”, play Champion and below where headshot-chaining is irrelevant because one headshot nearly kills the monster. If you say that casual players play Legend and Cataclysm, I would argue that Legend - a difficulty which roughly translates to “Very Hard” in other games - should not be played by casuals. And if casuals indeed can easily play Legend than Vermintide has a gigantic balance problem of everything being to strong and easy to use.

:clap::clap:exactly, this nerf on victor isn’t fair, especially on weaves and twitch… why would I want BH like that?
the boss is full of HP and Victor BH is horrible, it’s funny that no one talks about the dwarf’s bazzoka… it’s not even an ultimate.

Easy to get into semantics. Consider this: according to Steam global achievements, only about 7% of players get any given hero to level 30. Cataclysm is locked behind a dlc paywall. So recognize the vast gulf between tiny fraction of the playerbase that’s putting in hundreds or even thousands of hours, and the average player. Fatshark has the actual numbers, so I’m sure they’re considering statistics we simply aren’t aware of.

Anyway. Again, I was fine with 60% personally and just wanted to incorporate player feedback. I hope this post helps Fatshark’s balance discussions.

All correct. My argument is that Fatshark does not need to take the silent non hardcore playership into consideration because 90 % of the balance changes do not affect them. Famished Flames does only 100 % more fire damage? Enemies on Champion die still as fast. Javelin has less cleave and armor damage? Again, irrelevant for Champion and below. The list goes on.

My point: Don’t use the silent or casual majority as an argumentation point. It leads nowhere.

If a change has little to no effect on the majority and hurts the minority, then you’re right, it shouldn’t be implemented. I trust Fatshark has the data to show if that’s the case.

It’s the other way around but client getting 80% cooldown consistently is very obviously a bug regardless.

The players who gave that feedback are cracked in the head then. It’s a perfectly fair nerf.

I wish.

If that really was the case Total War Warhammer and Warframe wouldn’t both be in such a terrible state they’re currently in. A lot of the most stupid and asinine casual changes are from feedbacks in subreddits and discords.

So what is the final result of this patch and when will it be updated

I hope there’s more updates to come, as they missed a few weapons like crowbill who needs a new heavy attack…or atleast some cleave on the heavy

Something like this might be better: Righteous Fury can be activated by pressing reload once the bar is full. A full bar of Fury will remain full until activation.
