I heard in the forum that quickplay only works for missions that are present on the board. This is bad. Many games end with players leaving for technical or personal reasons. There was a game that we finished as 2 players with 2 bots. So I think the game should fill the ranks of the running missions, too.
I don’t know how long the game reserves the slot of a player who has disconnected for technical reasons (and Alt+F4), but it should definitely be for a limited time.
Yeah I would say this is pretty common in Auric, I don’t see this in Havoc much. A lot of us suspect that the recent changes to how quickly maps rotate on the mission screen are behind it.
thats not exactly true, it can put you in missions that doesnt exist on the board where people really need a +1 but that behavior isnt prioritized, and after the rework quickplay now starts you into campaign missions that you cant even see.
after the rework quickplay will start a fresh campaign mission just for you, a mission that you can not see instead of backfill for existing missions.
Quickplay is kinda bugged right now. I’ve literally had the same mission with the same mods 8 times in a row and seen the same people in it who end up quitting because they don’t want to play that goddamn twins campaign map on auric again.
at least a filter list for quickplay, so i can opt out of conditions like darkness or certain maps and don’t have to leave the map after joining, which frustrates everyone involved
please stop throwing players into a game they just left. if they left a game, it’s quite probably because they did not want to continue it.
i had such a case recently: quickplayed, replaced a bot, spawned in fire amidst 2 bosses, was dead before i could do anything. ok, happens. left that game, quickplayed again, only to land on a spawn point in the same game and be called a reconnect-abusing by one guy left there.
