Would it be possible to add some extra functionality to the Morninstar hub similar to how Monster Hunter games allow you to make specific public rooms for certain goals? In MH I could search for people trying to hunt the same monster or go resource hunting etc etc In this game this could be, Find players to complete Weekly Missions or Find balanced team compositions, or even ONLY OGRYN STRONG NOT SMALLIES
I’d also find it super beneficial to queue with a diverse 4 player squad instead of being 100% random and get 1 psyker and 3 zealots. I would at the very least like an optional checkmark when doing quickmatch to look for a balanced team first, then back to classic search if a balanced team could not be found.
To end back at the beginning, what is the logic on how/why the morningstar hub connects people, to make it seem lively and chat with a few randos before a match?

Probably to encourage buying cosmetics, seeing as you’re in third person and will see a bunch of randoms running around that you wouldn’t in verms model.
It doesn’t really add anything past that, just more loading time. As you said, there’s really nothing else implemented to make it have an actual use.

It’s structured the way it is not to encourage social interaction but so you can see other players and their cosmetics, who serve as walking advertisements, to get you to be tempted to then also buy those cosmetics.

So sad to see that they apparently build so many systems around some stupid ass marketing tactics.
