This sounds fun, but imagine being a Psyker in a group and you encounter a beast of Nurgle. Everyone looking at you like “well… go on then” while the zealot lays a leaf of a parsley on your head.

That should be the penance instead of blowing up and killing elites. I’d definitely take a wound to do that.
