Premium weapon cosmetics should be, you know, premium. In this first person game most of the time the only thing you can see / admire / inspect are your weapons. So premium weapon cosmetics should be state of the art. Not just lazy uninspired generic camo variations or some filthy duct taped scavenger’s folly.
I have to remind to the Obese Whale dev team that we are talking about the 40k universe. Where gothic extravagant mastercrafted decorations can be found in almost everything. Especially, since we pay for these “premium” weapon skins with real hard earned money the least they could be should be full of seals of purity, golden skulls, inscriptions, and so on.
The latest rogue trader’s weapon cosmetics are on the right track. Also the duelist’s autogun is definitely something that deserves to be inspected during a dull moment inside an elevator. But every other weapon skin is simply god awful and in cases such as the “cadia’s teeth” chainsword skin, are even inferior to their vanilla equivalents. That’s kinda sad.
