Possible playable xenos races?

What do you guys think?
Wouldn’t be the first time the Inquisition using xenos races in battling the forces of Chaos, albeit it would be a reluctant alliance.
Seen a few topics with people proposing some xenos races such as Aeldari ranger etc.

I wanna hear your wishes and opinions.
How far-fetched would it be to have something like this, for example having recaptured gue’vesa fight for the Inquisition despite their stance on everyone who strays away from the Emperor’s light? Or employing Eldar or some other race with a common goal to root out the forces of Chaos.

If it was a game like VT2 with set characters, there would have been more chances, but with our current set it wouldn’t make much sense.

Like how would they have access to their appropriate weapons, also practically no weapon overlap

abhor the xenos

They’ve been requisitioned to aid in the inquisition, they could have different story cutscenes.

Probably would need to have their own vendors somewhere if the hub gets expanded? :man_shrugging:t2:
Your guess is as good as mine. Or have their own hub.

Still doesn’t make much sense that the Imperial penitentiary system hold many Xenos, who would usually just be killed instead of taken in the normal penital system

And additional Archetype aren’t really certain that it would even happen, they didn’t close the door on it, but never confirmed anything.

So you have maybe 1 or 2 that would maybe happen in the future, but they most likely will still be Imperium of Man loyalist, like something from the Admech, as that would let it use some of the weapon we already have + introduce a much requested group, and if we get a second, then it’s more unclear on which it would be, but there are still unrepresented stuff, like Saints and stuff

What type of unit from AdMech would you like to see yourself represented?

Doesn’t make much sense that we’re not burned upon finishing each mission for all of the contact with chaos. They’ll bend the lore as much as they feel like.

As playable, and seeing the current roster.

A Tech Adept/Menial, being not important enough to matter to the admech to try to keep them in their grasp

So you’d have at base instead of tattoo some cosmetic augments, or admech tattoo.

As class we would have Skitarii, Reclaimator and maybe another. With appropriate cosmetics and weapons

Melee: Taser Goad, Sonic Sword, Sonic Dagger, Chord Claw,Omnisian Axe

Ranged: Arc, Flechette, maybe even Rad… weapons

People survive fights against Nurglite cults, we probably have access to more sanitary system that most don’t

And as long as we keep ourself useful we won’t be purged too fast

That’s bending the lore. We literally wade through pox walkers and they constantly remind us about how expendable we are. Xenos would be a stretch, but it wouldn’t be Fatsharks first.

A few of the career explanations for VT2 were pretty outlandish.

Our character not being purged isn’t outlandish, it happen, the number of foes we face are dependent on gameplay reasons

Introducing playable Xenos would have to be explained on how they are able to have all their equipments and where the Inquisitor managed to find them.

As they are vastly rarer than what ever we currently get

heresy!

Using my drunken Irish zealot accent:

“Hate the xenos as you hate the infidel, as you hate the non-believer. Feel not mercy for them, for their very existence is profane.”

Can you guys keep your roleplay away from this topic?
I’m serious, throughout the lore not only the Inquisition but the rest of the Imperium’s forces( Imperial Guard, Astartes etc. have fought alongside xenos such as Eldar, Necrons etc. It’s not that unheard of.

Seriously doubt an eldar is gonna end up as a playable character.

But as far as actual xenos or in some regards, abhumans goes.

Kroot mercenary, has popped up as a member of an inquisitorial retinue before i believe.

Squat, not the league of votan kind, but the bolter wielding, power hammer swinging kind that you see as a hired gun in Necromunda. Grendl Grendlsen.

While yes, Xenos do sometime work with Mankind, and yes even sometime in the Inquisition (Sanctioned Xenos)

But they wouldn’t be picked up like the rejects are, either they would be killed off, or be too valuable to be sent on practically suicide run with the reject.

It is possible, but there are stuff that would have to happen before hand

Naturally, all good points. That is why I mentioned Gue’Vesa for example.
For suicide missions they’d be perfect as the Imperium would otherwise straight up execute them. Or serious brainwashing would ensue.
They could be using Tau weapons.

All in all I’m just writing what comes up on my mind, of course Abhumans go first, Imperium’s followers etc. Hopefully Skitarii gets in soon, wouldn’t mind seeing other ideas implemented over time.

Gue’vesa as in Human who defected to the Tau

afaik they mostly have access to imperial weapon, and more so if they defect back to the Imperium (By will or by force)

Kins are often viewed as abhumans by the Imperium, so it could happen. Moreso there are kins that leave their Leagues to go out “prospecting”, usually becoming guns for hire for other factions, until they have gathered new knowledge they can take back to their league.
